The 06's took a little while to grow on me, but I now totally dig the three-part grille - but that was short-lived. If they did a mild refreshening of the current STi, toss in the planned interior from the 08 (flip navi screen, ability to plug in external DVD player/game console, albeit w/ handbrake up - as if that can't be hacked), then I'd like it more. But like James said, waiting to see the car in person before I make a more definite judgment call.

I thought it looked kinda fugly when they came out with the bugeye look compared to the old school square Impreza's (the RS Sedan before they started selling the WRX in the States) but I later grew to like it, as with the current 3 part grille, which while looking like ass from pictures, was a very different story in person.

My feeling is that when we get to see the WRC Rally Racing version of car, it will be a different story. But then again, what would you expect out of a fully fledged race car?

I'm getting a slight bit older now so I my preferences have changed, hence the current fascination with the Outback and Legacy Wagon.

I'm with ya on the first-gen Imprezas. I still like the old RS. I remember oggling the variants like the 22B that we never got here. It was a happy day when we finally got the WRX, bugeyes and all.

But, I guess I'm getting old too... and am fairly content with my 90 hp box on wheels.

I know what you mean. I yearned for a turbo Impreza state-side... was excited about the WRX when it came out here, but then was a little bummed about the early proliferation of the regular WRXs... then the STI (come on, what high school kid doesn't deserve 300hp? ).

But, it's a double edged sword, ya know. We want them to stay cool and exclusive... but we still want them to be made. Again, I guess I'm just old enough (poor enough?) that I'm past the point of realistically buying one. Just don't ever let me test drive one.

It's brand new. Maybe one coat of something other than Proofhide, and it doesn't even look like it was mounted on a seatpost. The wings are still stiff, and there's no butt dimples.
Thanks to Mo', I now get to look forward to testing this out! Thanks Paul.

Not necessary. Besides, going fast would just make the bike harder to see.

Since my Spinergys are arriving soon, I ordered some Vittoria Open Corsa EVO KS tires to go with it. If I like the tires enough, I expect them to show up on my Rolf wheelset once my current tires wear out.

Dangit...I wanted to be the first to post a Leader in SoCal...bastage. Mine's blingy carbon fiber, though...but your wheels probably cost more than my entire build.

Due to a broken Ultegra shifter, I'm upgrading my shifters to Dura-Ace on my synapse. I should only be paying the difference between them, though, since they are warrantying it.
