Banned member(squeezebox) created a new account/name. that new name is called a sock or sockpuppet here.

Its a take on what has historically been a sockpuppet- when a member creates another account to anonymously talk to or about the real member's account.

Thanks for the education. I do not do facebook, twitter and a bunch of other social media so I am generally ignorant of such internet terms.

Squeezebox was on my list of names that I ignored, I never opened any topic he started and never read any posts he wrote, so I was unaware he was banned. There are a few others on my ignore list, most of which I have not seen for months so perhaps they were banned too.

Bikes: yes

The banned users thread is schadenfreude-tastic reading. Banned Users

Also makes me nostalgic for simpler time -- if you go back to the first page, some 10 years ago, the first banned user was for posting a Rick Roll. Remember those? Memories...

Well then. I guess that I need to work on my troll detecting skilz. Don't come here much anymore so was not even aware that the stomach steinway was gone. And I thought maybe people were jumping the gun on giving a new guy grief.

If you look at the last page of the banned user thread you will see Gardens and Justbill were banned as socks shortly after SB's ban. I believe they were also SB socks. Personally, I think he makes it just obvious enough to try to taunt those of us with good BS detectors and the mods (e.g., Jimbo. bit on my Trek 920 bait in one thread, and in a thread about trolley tracks he started in A&S he claimed he was from St. Louis, just like SB did).
