The reason for this being one of my favorites is not so much the image itself, but rather it was the last tour with my riding partner of 15 years before he passed away. A several state tour and crossing the Mississippi River

Downtube Tour
I just finished my first folding bike tour with my new Downtube 2007 NS. Bike was fine. We toured in the South Carolina Coastal area. Traffic was horrendous but all else was great. My buddy and service and therapy dog Rosie is in the basket. She is my goodwill ambassador and attracts a lot of attention.

Two of our Favorites
It was hard to pick only two pictures from the 20,000 we have posted on our website but these are two of our favorites.

Great idea Vik - just one pic can't do justice to the vast collection of pics we have all amassed over our trips.
Thks everyone for the excellent pics. They are inspirational and just small reflections of the great joy our passion allow us to experience...
My little contribution - climbing 23km up to Tele, Lake Toba, Sumatra.
ps: Robow, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your cycling buddy. Cherish the good times...

Truman, actually we crossed at Quincy, IL. to the north. But I plan to be down in that Grafton area doing some of the Great River road/trail this summer.
Thanks Pig and Oldies for the sentiment, yea it's tough to ride without him, especially when you tour and have so much time on your hands to only think back and remember.

Okay here are a couple.
On a train going from Amsterdamn to Dussledorf.
Time was limited so we had to take the train over certain legs of the journey.
On the Rhine:
The one on the train is probably the favorite with a bike in it, but we are on a train! So I included on where we were on our bikes.

Thanks for all the great photos... Keep 'em coming....
Just a reminder that the challenge portion of this thread is that you are only supposed to post a single photo - the one you love the most - from a past tour.

Along the sea dikes in The Netherlands last October. Bought a bike in Brussels and rode it to Amsterdam, quite a fun trip but the wind blew the wrong way.

The shot dates from June of 2007. It records part of a trip from Sofia, Bulgaria north to the Danube, through Romania (Bucharest, Constanta on the Black Sea) and back into Bulgaria. From there we (two of us) crossed Bulgaria from north to south and on into European Turkey. We ended the trip in Istanbul. This shot, from the first day out of Sofia, records our passage along the road which for about 75 km parallels the River Iskar. The goal for the first day was the small city of Vratsa.
