Bike Touring Photo Challenge

I thought I'd see if there was any interest in a little photo contest - well not really a contest as we won't be picking a winner - just a friendly challenge between bike touring photographers.

Here's the deal anyone who wants to participate posts one picture from a bike tour - one of their favourites. You only get to post one so you'll have to really decide which one you love the most.

The only other condition is it must have a touring bike [not necessarily a rider] in the pic.

I've got a lot of pics I like, but this one is definitely a favourite from my Baja tour in 2006:

If you are not sure how to post pics, but you want to share one just PM me and I'll either walk you through it or post it for you.

I have to pick only one?? That is cruel and unusual punishment!! I guess I'll go with the Baja/tent theme and post this one from our family adventure in Baja in 2006/2007.

Light touring in the south of England, following Paris-Brest-Paris.

After a week of steady rain in the north of France, this view of the bay outside Bournemouth, England was heaven.

One photo! That's like choosing your favorite kid. Here's one from Charlevoix, Québec, just before a 2km at 19%:

It was hard to pick just one, but this is one of my favorites from our 2007 TA. The location is near the Kentucky/Virginia border and Breaks Interstate Park.

At a park in Oregon. I was exhausted, and my bike looked like it felt the same.

That's amazing. I'd like to see what it looked like where you were riding to if you were riding away from that.

I vote for niknak's picture.

Here's one of a butterfly licking my saddle. I was camping near Tupelo, Mississippi. My saddle had absorbed a lot of sweat by then.

It is a very nice picture, but we are not voting. I'd much rather encourage more people to post photos than worry about which one is "best".
