Hmmm... looking a little sparse in the parts department. Do you have all the parts that came off it? If you`re going to have to buy everything that isn`t in the picture, you`d probably be about even to buy a whole bike. Unless you feel a personal attachment to that one. If the stuff is just temporarilly removed and you still have it, pardon me for butting in. Those are plain old canti brakes- 99% of all road levers will work with them directly.

I still have the parts. Just took them off to clean everything and will put them back on as part of the rebuild.

Thanks everyone for all the help! Off to look for handlebars now!

Bikes: Some silver ones, a red one, a black and orange one, and a few titanium ones

Or he can just go with an oversized stem clamp. Solves all the issues of which stem to use. He'll likely have to use a shim on the steer tube anyway so that shouldn't be a problems.

As for bars, I really like Salsa Bell Laps. Slight flare outwards on the drops, relatively shallow drop and they have a good wide top. I find that the hoods are in a more natural position for your hands than other straighter bars.

Bell Laps

Ritchey Biomax (since changed to Bell Laps)

The tops of the Ritchey bar is wider but the angle on the wrists when you ride on the hoods isn't as comfortable. The Bell Laps just have a more natural bend on the wrist that help for all day riding.

I like them too. Over the years I've gone through about 5 bar changes (including the Ritchey Biomax, Nitto Noodle, On One Midge bars, and WTB Dirt Drops) on my LHT and I think I've finally settled on the Bell Laps. Funny thing is, I bought these bars and I had them sitting unused for over 2 years for no particular reason.
