as a relative lightweight in cycling (145lbs) i realize that i don't have much practical need for the ultimate bombproof wheels and that my 36h 3x dyad deor xt's with wheelsmiths should be fine for a long, long time, but i often find myself obsessing about a better bombproof wheel. someday, when i get bored of them, i'll splurge and go 48h phils to dyads or something, and then try to put 30 years into them and tell myself it was a worthwhile investment.
