Training problem...
Hi, I was cold on Sunday and yesterday I woke up with flu symptoms.
Currently I train well:
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Training
Wednesday: Training
Thursday: Training
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Training
Sunday: Free route
The question is that today I have to train Z2+Z3, but I'm still something wrong...I can change the today for the Friday and if I'm better start tomorrow?.
This is my week of recovery in my training plan.
Regards

Don't train with symptoms of a respiratory infection. You'll risk losing far more by making it worse than you would by taking a few days off the bike. A small delay in your traing, especially during your recovery week, is inconsequential.

I had a conversation with Max Testa about that a number of years ago when I was living in California and training with him. He said many times these sorts of issues run sub-clinically with no major symptoms. Then after a stressor of some sort (hard training, not enough sleep, etc.) it comes out as a cold, flu, or other thing.
He told me it is not worth it to push through illness. It is better to take a few days easy then to push through it and get sicker. That would cause you to take more time off.
Since it is a recovery week, a few easy days won't hurt.
