fluid trainer vs rollers
So I have a fluid trainer and have just bought a set of rollers.
I know rollers don't have a lot of resistance so they'll be good for cadence and form work, but other than that, what sort of stuff do you guys do on rollers for training in lieu of riding on the road?
The only thing I can think of is spin ups and tempo riding.

During the season, on days I can't ride outside, I just do 20 minutes of high intensity and high cadence on the rollers. Low intensity and long spins during the off-season (also on the rollers). That plus some cross-training of either nordic skiing or yoga keeps me in decent cycling shape. Not sure if that helps at all.

I have rollers with resistance, so don't need a fluid trainer. I do everything on them. The most fun stuff is high cadence work and one-legged pedaling. I use them a lot for recovery rides, up to an hour or so even in summer, because it's hard for me to keep my HR down riding outside. The lack of much flywheel effect helps me keep my pedaling smooth.
