Do you train and race with different wheels/tires?
This would only apply to people that train and race on the same bike - just curious if you have a training wheel/tire set and a race wheel tire/set. Or maybe just a bigger tire for training that you switch for racing. I ask because this is the first time I've ever upgraded from OE wheels, and I'm wondering if I should save them for races. Also, I typically train on Conti Gatorskin 700x25 non folding tires. I also have a pretty new set of 700x23 ultra race kevlars in the garage. Would it be worth switching to the 23's for races (usually sprint or oly distance)?

i do have three different wheelssets. two ****ty bomb proof wheels that often are more flexible then jello, and i have a set of reynold strikes that i use for races/occation training days (like the day before a tri to get used to the affect of winds on them.) different tires? yes but not because i care more just because i have alot of tires. they all are 23's and they all work just fine. it really depends if your new wheels are "nice" ($700+) then do not use them ever day theres no point why risk breaking something nice. if there $200 dollar bombproof wheels it all depends. if they're alot nicer than your og wheels then use them everyday. if they're only a little bit nicer dont bother using them except for race.

I have a training rear wheel and race wheel but just use the same front. But I am looking for a race front wheel. Having a spare wheels is always good.

then its really all up to you. you can use them everyday or not. the racing 5's will definitely be able to be ridden every day, they are not like deep section carbon wheels which can be fragile on certain roads (i have a 2 mile climb on uneven brick, and it took one of my bombproof wheels out of true. yes it's that intense haha)
