IKEA trailer review
First off, this is my first IKEA anything. Going thru the store was a revelation. Its a theme park of home commerce.
Now to the trailer. It took about 20 minutes to put together and it works great hooked up to my masi. Without a load I forget it is there. Today I took 60 lbs of music gear 4.5 mi across town to my sons house. I definitely could feel it push and pull,me a bit but I got used to it after 2-3 miles. Now I have only put about 10 miles on it but it seems great to me. Of course this is my only experience with a trailer.

I'm glad you find it useful, 52telecaster! Since I'm (still) considering to buy it, could I ask you the exact measurements of the payload area? Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot, 52telecaster!
Unfortunately, it seems that the IKEA trailer's payload area is only three centimeters (1,18 inches) longer than my cheap bike trailer, so it's unsuitable for my purposes. I think I'll have to rediscover that EMT conduit bike trailer project of mine...

Its a rearward facing pin on the bike and a spring in the bar to allow for turning. The whole bar can be removed and put on backwards to use the trailer as a cart.

If you are looking for a visual, the manual gives you a decent look at the hitch. Check out step 9.

That is not a bad looking trailer. I was thinking of making my own. Interesting.
What size wheel are on it? Not that it matters as long as it is not an oddball size.

I actualy work at ikea and work with Sladda. I thought it was gonna be lower quality stuff but its actualy very decent. even the bike. I dont like the 2 speed auto but the way the hubs made you can simply just swap the rear wheel with like a multible gear. The trailer is most likely best suited for bolt on back wheel. Personaly I think its a decent trailer. if the springy thing ever breaks just do what ive done to other trailers replace it with a chain works very good
