"Making" an 8mm front hub q/r axle?

Hi,
I have an oddball wheel which uses an M8 threaded rod as an axle through cartridge bearings.
And while it works fine, it bugs me, as the rear uses a q/r axle.
Now, a normal front axle thread is 9x1 mm. And as far as I remember from Engineering class, it's the core diameter of a threaded element that's used for strength calculations.
So, assuming the machining is accurate enough, taking a threaded axle and shaving off 0.5 mm of the radius should still leave the axle safe to use in my 8mm internal diameter cartridge bearing hub?

take a little off the extreme ends of the outside of the 9 axle, or make the dropout a 9 with a round file.

or press out the 8 ID Bearings and substitute one with a 9 ID?

Dropouts are normal. The issue is the 8mm ID of the cartridge bearings.
Bearing seat diameter in hub makes replacement with a bearing with bigger ID and the same OD impossible.

You looked at any industrial (not just bike) bearing suppliers stocklists?

why not just use a Different Hub ? regular 9mm ?

or stay with A solid 8 axle and Nuts or

Brompton fork Is an 8 they also use Shimano and SON dynohubs

that are a tubular Thru Skewer fitted Axle .

your 'engineering' is just book learning? never machined anything?
