I remember someone on C&V was looking for a lugged 48cm road bike last week... This one looks like quite fine Japanese goodness but is flying under the radar with only a day left. I noticed that the seller wrote down the wrong size on the initial auction when it opened. Someone please stop me from pulling the trigger for the Cyclone wheels/group: https://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1985-Pan...item33598f40c0

Haha I am into manual stuff, so that just looks dandy to me.
For example I am looking for a carb for my truck with a manual choke.

I can think of several moving parts that eliminates, I would love this. Although I figure by design it does not let you move for more then a few teeth in ether direction.
So that would suck.

Looks like he's running one of those new-fangled "cotterless" cranks, though.

Funny, that's basically the same shifter as on my '60 Schwinn Continental...bit of a lag from that race picture which was when???. Though mine is not new, I've tested it & it works nicely....wonder if such a piece, albeit NOS, will sell for $200....

It's probably overpriced but I don't see the Columbus framed, Campagnolo Trek very often, if ever. It's my size, oh no.

Trek 950 Vintage Road Bike 58cm Handmade Lugged Steel Full Campagnolo - $890

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...579861861.html

For sale is my 1982 Trek 950 Vintage Road Bike 58cm Handmade Lugged Steel Full Campagnolo Super Record. This bike is super beautiful and very rare. This was a top end race bike in its day and weights a mere 19 pounds. More info can be found here:
https://www.vintage-trek.com/
The serial number on the frame 17570. It has Campagnolo Super Record hubs, headset, deraileurs, shifters, brakes, brake levers, seatpost, cranks, and bottom bracket. The Columbus SL tubed frame has Campagnolo dropouts and braze ons. The bars and stem are both Cinelli. The rims are Mavic G 40s. The seat is a Concor. It has brand new Continental tires and new cork wrap tape. This bike is the best deal on Craigslist. Send me an email if you want to come check it out. Thanks for looking.

That is the clamp on model and unless you wanted to drew your frame it isn't gonna fit.

There were also braze on models... my "Competition" works very very well and I would also like to incorporate a rod shifter into some future build.

They are actually very easy to use and someone with skills could even fabricate one quite asily.

Anyone in the SF Bay Area looking for a Miyata 912? Here's one on CL for $165. I think it's a 1985. (This is not my bike. I'm just sharing the listing in case any BF member wants a 912.)
