This Shogun road/touring bike has Shimano 600 hubs and Deore downtube shifters and drivetrain (highly regarded, very nice for the price). Complete with a rack and water bottle cage. The bike is surprisingly light and fast. The toe clips really work, too, and don't get in the way. Wide tires (35 mm) on 27" rims. Wide-range 18 speed gearing. Shifts and brakes well. For average or taller riders.
The frame is double butted manganese-alloy tubing. This is closer to the high end of seventies/eighties road bikes. (2001 is the model name.) Classy adjustable horizontal dropouts - a candidate for fixed gear/single speed conversion.
Seat tube: 22" center-to-top
Top Tube: 22" center-to-center
Standover height: 32.5"
In case you don't like the saddle, you have several to choose from at no extra cost.

Frame size: 22 frt/20 rear, 10-speed with Suntour rear derailleur and Huret front. Cantilever brakes and wheels by the late Sheldon Brown. Also has internal expanding drum brake and second caliper brake on rear wheel. Ideale leather saddles. Asking $800 but feel free to make an offer.

Maybe posting this here will get it out of my mind, it came to my attention through a google alert. Miyata 914, 52cm, updated/upgraded wheels, Campy Mirage brifters (!), in SF, $305, which seems like a smokin deal in that town.

That Semi-Pro was offered here by a member last week or so, and he'd apparently bought it on eBay (it was also linked in this thread) just a month earlier. Is no one ever going to buy this frame and build it up or is it condemned to sail the seas of eBay and CL forever, never to be ridden again???
