Model wise, I'll defer to the Peugeot experts. Looks like a nicer model for sure. The saddle is a Brooks Professional - pretty standard on better bikes of the era.

Early 70's (?) PX10, Brooks Pro saddle. Looks like the frame is bent - head angle is WAY too steep for an older PX10.

Not true. Many PX 10s have the same appearing head tube angle, without being bent.

example(not mine)

^Agree that it's a PX-10. How many digits in the serial number would confirm the era, looks to be either late 60's or early 70's.

Nah. It's a 1973 PX10e. They had the steeper angles. At 100, a buy regardless.

Oh you better believe I bought it this morning! Woot, I'm pumped.
Here's the serial: 134542

It's definitely not bent.

According to this site it's rare to see my decal on a 70's bike. And it has six digits in the serial. But it has the type II seat tube decal.

Nice snag there shoota, are you sure it's 70's? Six digit s/n usually means it's a 60's, don't know about the type II decal though. If it's a 60's, that would be worth a lot more, esp. in blue.

I'm sticking with my 1973 date. Decals are right, steeper angles come in about then in the E variation, and serial numbers are as reliable for dating Peugeots as tarot cards. The six numbers could be a mis-stamp, not first time I've seen that.

Pretty sure it's a '73. The lady was the original owner and bought it from a bike shop in Tuscaloosa AL in '74 as a graduation present.

It's definitely an early 70s PX10. Does it have the fancy Nervex lugs? Also is the serial number you furnished stamped directly into the BB?

Shoota, start a thread with pics.

I will do that. Hopefully tomorrow morning.

Yes to the Nervex lugs and yes to the directly stamped serial.

I need to stop derailing this thread and start my own.
