Big time +1. It's a nice fame, but I think Bob Jacksons are generally under valued. His estimates on frame value are delusional and I think he might need a few weeks of sitting on this to come down to earth. Also, comparing CL to eBay is meaningless - if he wants eBay money, sell it on eBay. Tampa was a crappy city for cycling when I lived there, so I'd assume the market is low.

Yes, you read it right. This is serial #1, 1975. It was hand crafted by Richard Sachs. Richard built this bike for himself and raced it in the late 70's. I have photos of Richard with the bike during this period. I also have photos of the second owner when he raced it from the late 70’s to the early 80’s. I am the third owner. The frame was restored by Joe Bell Bicycle Refinishing, which is located in Spring Valley, California. If you anything about bicycle frame refinishing, then you know Joe Bell is at the top. Joe did all of the paint and metal work and Richard provided the original decals. It measures 55 cm center to top. The bike is built with period correct drilled Campagnolo components. The following quote was part of an interview with Richard Sachs 12/05/03:

Has a 4130 super light chromoly frame and fork but a set up for 20" rims. That means just put on BMX rims and your set. Will come with a 20" rear Araya Alloy rim with 5 cog sprocket and a rear brake setup. I also may have a mismatched front alloy rim for you. just put Straight bars on and go. Super cool and rare. $100.00 firm. Ted 847-338-428 nine.

I don't know what the deal is with that bike. It has been listed for a couple weeks and the price keeps coming down. I bought a bike a couple years ago from the seller (for a good price) but there were a couple issues that I felt were hidden. Of course it is the buyers responsibility to check everything out but he was a bit evasive with my questions. If I was to buy it I would look it over very closely. It is a good price though.

This bike was also designed by Dave Ibis for Novara and is a very nice and sturdy steel lug jointed frame. The bike is a 26" wheeled road bike, built up as a commuter/touring. The bike has wheel fenders for year round traveling and a 3 x 9 drivetrain for a huge gear range. This bike also has Nitto bar and stem. When I purchased the bike, it came with a couple of large scratches. I have since cleaned up the scratches and done some touch up paint with a similar color. I have pictures to show where I'm talking about, but overall the paint is a 7/10.
Parts added:
Shimano 9 speed bar end shifters (cost $90 new)
Shimano LX 2 Piece Cranks, very light and strong, made for mtn bikes ($130 new)
SKS fender set (40$)
