^Yeh I know what you mean, I think partly its the lack of bottle cages etc.

Another thing is that you're more likely to see Shimano levers set high, not Campagnolo - I've tried Shimano and was happier with the reach of Campagnolo levers, so I don't need to angle them upwards.
My stems are the right length for me too which is something that a lot of people get wrong then are uncomfortable. I've got the lever position spot-on according to the Campagnolo instructions, but my bikes fit me like a glove too.
The last bike has slightly more relaxed geometry and a little higher height on the headset spacers so I've got the levers a little lower.
Regarding the wheels, I replaced some Open-Pro on Daytona hubs with the original Ksyriums about 6 years ago and they're still going strong which is why I got the ES version when it appeared. The Campagnolo Neutrons have been used by pure climbers in the past (Pantani being the obivous one) as well as Backstedt to win the Paris Roubaix in 04 - heaviest rider in the peloton winning on cobbles on 'climber's wheels'!
I'm pretty heavy but strong enough to wreck back wheels which is why I won't buy wheels with big gaps between the groups of spokes - no Bontrager or Campagnolo Eurus for me, I think I'd break them.
