Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looks like a bike Darth Vader would have. Mean as hell! I like it.

Hows the saddle? Is it okay on longer rides?

Sure, saddle is fine on the flats, the shape fits me fine, even for 100 mi rides. It does get slightly uncomfortable for long climbs though, not because of the lack of padding, but because of the lack of grip, my ass slides down the saddle and it makes contact with the back of my legs. I find myself wasting energy repositioning myself on the saddle tiny setback though.

Crash replacement of my 3.1 upgraded to 4.5. Taken prior to first ride hence chain on the small/big combo as that is how shop had it ready for me.

Heads-up: virgin poster here. I'm typically more into the repair/resale (CL flipping) domain, but this is a bike to which I've grown attached. Not pictured: correct seat angle, SRAM Rival carbon/black shifters and der.

WTH - Matching Bike and Space Shuttle

I have to admit, that's a first for me, to see someone who owns a bike and space shuttle, in matching color schemes no less. So please tell me, did you get the space shuttle first, or the bike? Which one did you get to color match the other?

Most impressive.

Really hard to tell exactly what the frame looks like from the picture....is it even carbon? because I think it says P2C on the rear triangle and it doesn't look like any P2C I've ver seen. I can't tell if the bike has any areo tubing at all but this doesn't even really look like a P2SL or soloist either......

You've got me stumped but it looks suspicious.....

you may want to ask in a new thread on the main page for more replies.

Looks like a fake to me. No Cervelo I've ever seen has ever had a clamp on front derailleur, other than the old original steel frame bikes.

Picked this Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra in Columbus TSX steel for a, well, steal, on eBay. Decided to build it up with spare parts to see if I liked it before spending money on more sympathetic equipment.
Having ridden it I absolutely love it!!

If your space shuttle doesn't match your bike you are a nobody.

Here's my new-to-me toy, 1999 specialized Allez a1, full shimano 105's, look pedals and cinelli bars.. $250, thank you craigslist. updgraded from riding my dads old 52 cm trek 1.2, (I'm 6ft tall so it was pretty uncomfortable)
