Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Every time TS says "ride with the ladies group" I think of the Kool Aid guy busting through a wall saying "Oh Yeah!". Then I giggle.

My club has a group of women who ride together. They call themselves the "Biker Chicks."

I am golf clapping for the Addiction crew today. Big laughs today across multiple threads. The only improvement on my day would have been Guinness at work.

Our room is the one on the right with the open umbrella (and tray of dirty breakfast dishes).

I am usually too cheap to spend much on a hotel room. Seriously, I am the master of conniving budget travel. But I made an exception for this hotel & Im glad I did. We leave in a few hours, will be sad to go.

Interestingly, every other tourist on Crete seemed to be French or German with a sprinkling of Brits. Santorini is much more mixed, lots of Americans. We stayed up late drinking up all the good Crete wine last night with our American neighbors, nice couple from NYC, just married 3 days ago. We didn't want to try to fly with any wine later today. So that makes it another lie-around-the-hotel day by default.

Athens tomorrow.

Hang in there, ts. It seems to be very encouraging that people must be seeking you out for the work you have been doing outside of the dealership.

Now might be the time to think about setting up your own business. Getting a mentor or something to help you get set up, maybe?
