On topic: 90 min of mtb today, very slow - the legs are tired!
Tomorrow off
Only two easy days in the middle of an otherwise big week for me.

As long as it stays below 50%, you're good.

I should start taking bets on this.

Butterlap ride tonight. A couple beers, ride a bit, chill and have a beer, ride a bit more, chill and have a beer etc. Finish at the bar and have burger, Brussels sprouts and beer. My favorite ride but I'd have to say training status = N/A

Been doing tempo things on the TT bike. I am pleasantly surprised by how nice it has been, granted it is also nice to have been using the smart trainer to do "set it and forget it" for the rides. At least it lets me work on my position while not needing to worry about the power output too much.
Still like riding my road bike more.

Long training week. I am happy to handle the volume better than in the past. z2 power is up quite a bit as well, confirming my last 20min test was not a fluke. All good things.

Rode the TT bike on the dumb trainer last night (with Zwift) to test out the new fit. Holding Z2 was a bit of a challenge after 30-40 mins in the aero bars. Going to have to ride it more and adapt!
My smart trainer gave out on me last week when I was going for a sprint on Zwift. ~500w when suddenly the resistance goes to what feels like max and stops me dead in my tracks, and wouldn't release no matter what after that. Hopefully I can get it warrantied.

Been an off week; on my scheduled big TSS days its been storming, so it's been a hodgepodge with no real structure. When it rains out here we get deep pools of mud on the road, and it feels more like a CX ride than a road ride. You can usually go through them fast, but I hit a covered rock, slid out, and had a soft crash.
I'll be going up to SF next week, it'll be nice to ride in nice weather for a change!

60-ish minutes on the trainer. Stranger Things.

without bike for 2 weeks. recommend outdoor workouts?
I have a jump rope, running shoes, and can probably find some things to jump onto.
I was thinking 30+ minute run everyday, and when possible, mix in some box jumps, sprint intervals, and jump rope for like 30 minutes with rests in between.

If all you have been doing is low-impact cycling that plan will break you in a few days. Cycling is great for aerobic fitness but can make you rather delicate if it's all you do for a prolonged time.

actually, I kind already broke myself doing squats almost 2 weeks ago. spent about 45 minutes in the gym, and could barely move when I walked out the door. pretty much lost all my top end power for a week, and got my ass handed to me on a competitive group ride a week later.
since I haven't ran in a while, I was thinking that doing so would be good cross training

that's fine, so long as it makes me better.

The squats also take my top end for several days, but I figure it's ok and I don't need the top end right now. Box jumps and stuff - I think it helped back when I did it. I'd do all directions, one leg, 2 legs, weighted unweighted, all combinations of pause or no pause at the bottom. Thinking I may add this in for a month or two if I stick with the gym. Gym is really expensive though and I'd only go 1 day a week maybe two.
