When I turned 14 I made my Confirmation (you Catholics know what I'm talking about)...afterward my mother came into my room and said "I'm very proud of you..you are now an adult in the Church...and it's time you acted like an adult in the rest of your life too...if you want something to eat cook it..you want clean clothes? Wash them...oh and we love you. " I was really pissed at the time but later, once I moved out I could cook real food, do my own laundry (including iron) and was pretty self sufficient.

i'm watching the replay of todays us/algeria game. lots of empty seats. i've noticed this at most games i've watched. unusual, no?

Hah. That show was obviously exaggerated, but the reality of how much the drug trade fueled the south Florida economy between 1978 and 1990 can not be understated. It would not have surprised me to see some of my classmates doing lines in 10th grade English.
The place is still very much "crazy from the heat" and I have a love/hate relationship with it.

There is no connection between the massive number of ATM machines installed around the same time that blow became popular. To believe that this was true would require one to believe that the US Government and the banking industry might be complicit in and had knowledge of the drug trade, and have the realization that my friends and I would need cash at 2 AM on a Saturday night. And 4AM. and 6AM. And so on through Sunday afternoon. And occasionally Sunday night. But only a real coke head would still be going on Monday.
