My wife tried by losing her SSN card so they couldn't go get her permit. But made up for it. We don't have a lot of money - but we're bless nonetheless - so she bought 15 small gifts and set up a scavenger hunt for her after dinner and cake. She made her favorite meal too: Chicken Stir Fry with homegrown veggies. It was really good. It's one of my favorite meals she cooks as well. Her boyfriend bought her a nice heart necklace.

These two have been together a long time now. It's starting to scare me. On the one hand, she's not out going boy crazy and breaking a lot of hearts. On the other, they have hit it off and may be too serious for each other. Don't get me wrong, he's a good kid, very respectful, helpful, nice, quiet, and likes hanging out with us. He's really opened up since he first came over. And with our family you need to. We're loud and like to have fun. If you go to one of our family cookouts be prepared to take some good ribbing - especially if we like you.

We've had "the talk" in all seriousness with my daughter. My wife and I as well as his parents are on the same page about not leaving them alone anywhere. We try not to allow them to be in situations where "things" might happen. And I know we'll not be able to monitor them 100% but we have to trust her to make the right decisions if something happened.

I saw that, it looked interesting. What I want to try is Heavy Sea's Loose Cannon.

So as someone who raced motorcycles, what's a good first bike? I've wanted a motorcycle for years (what guy hasn't?) but just didn't think it was all that practical right now.

I've always heard the Ninja 250 is the best first bike to learn how to ride on, before moving up to faster bikes. Is this still the common wisdom?

Never heard 'wake and bake' in reference to coffee. Always thought of a different product.

Go to a track and take a course if you can. Out here it's Willow Springs. Or get some off-road saddle time, it teaches you a lot.
