I know botto will probably send me a link to teenageforums.com or some crap, but w/e....
Alright twitter feed community - I need girl advice.
I had a really good time at prom w/ my date and got good vibes, etc. I went on a couple double dates w/ her and some mutual friends before prom and we've been talking for a few weeks. I want to try and make our relationship more than just friends, but I'm not sure what I should do. The kid who we went on the double date with said to just hang out with her, maybe rent some movies, etc. But I'm not sure if it would be awkward or whatever just us hanging out alone. She's really quiet and both of us are new at this dating thing (facepalm worthy on my part...). We have a couple school things coming up (class trip) so I plan to hang out with her there. Should I wait to see how these go and then see if she wants to hang out?
Gah, I'm terrible with girls and I can't believe I'm asking for advice on bike friggin forums.

2b) I'm impressed with his selection Although I'm not sure I'm allowed to say that, based on the all-important age/2+7 equation. Is she 17.5?
Has coddling tendencies.
Charlotte and I have become close. She lives in the grape vines in front of where I park. She's huge!
Day two after building her web.
Here she is preparing a meal that I tossed her way. The strange noise you hear is the camera doing it's math while recording the imagery.

FWIW, my daughter's 8th grade just had their "Moving Up" ceremony last night. I think that's a more appropriate name, and it wasn't too self-congratulatory. Talks about the fun they've had, lessons learned, and more to come etc ....

I found out that my friend who crashed on Saturday was out for a while. I don't know how many concussions he's had, but it's a lot. They say he's been unpredictable and eratic on the bike lately which surprises me. Last time I rode with him I didn't see that, but he does move around a lot.
This guy raced in Munich in 1972, ffs. His skills were always very high and I have felt confident riding near him for more than 20 years.

got the actual details of the schedule I'd be working as a System Operator (electric grid, not computer system). It's a six week rotation, and it doesn't seem that bad to me. Could have its perks, might actually be good for training with all the days off.
All day shifts are 5 AM - 5 PM (usually more like 5:30 because of the handoff), nights are 5 PM to 5 AM (again, more like 5:30 AM).
Wk1: M T day, S Su day
Wk2: W H F day
Wk3: relief. usually you work a week's schedule for someone, they don't move you between day/night if at all possible.
Wk4: M T W nights
Wk5: H F S Su nights
Wk6: off
So you average 17.5 days every 6 weeks. I wouldn't be able to ride the bus, but I'd only have to park 17 days every 6 weeks, so it's not a huge deal.
Days that I work I would basically just work and then sleep. But on the days off I'd probably have plenty of time to ride and hang out with friends and stuff. I get a good number of weekends off, plus if you take 2 days of vacation you can suddenly have 2 weeks off in a row.
I'll have to see how big of a pay cut it is, it's likely to be substantial, so that's definitely a downside.

20 fricken races so far this year and only a handful of top tens. Dang Masters category.
Time to refocus and reevaluate. Never give up. Even if it means starting from scratch.

Had a good fight with my Sram FD last night. The mounting bolt broke right before my last crit. I chased the threads, new bolt, etc. It's weird, I have to have it mounted as high as possible on the braze on mount or the cage will drag on the big chainring teeth. If it slides .5mm it hits. It's like the mount on my Ridley is too low... I have to really tighten it or it slips and starts hitting after ~100 miles, but that re-tightening process is killing the bolt threads. Even tried steel bolts. Frankly, it's pissing me off.
