I'm a dumb ass round #2 for the week (see the power thread for round #1): Went for a short ride to get ready for tomorrow. Didn't bring my tube/pump because I was just going for a short ride. Got a flat after 25' of riding, cell phone died. Thankfully a buddy of mine saw me and gave me a lift.

NW europeans really struggle with warm weather. it was in the mid 90s here today, and people freaked.

apparently a little warmer in the UK, and they had emergency info.

Finally warming up a bit here. Makes for spectacular summer AM rides along the coast and in the adjacent mountains. The roadies come out in droves Saturday and Sunday mornings. So many you can tire of waving.

I counted 227 other riders out during my 3 hour ride last weekend... and most of those were in the first 2 hours! Big Fred Ride coming up soon so they're all dusting off the bikes for the summer I guess.

Yeah screw waving, I gotta save energy.

This Droid incredible is a time sync. Too easy to access the internet. Should go back to the blackberry. More business focused. Never looked at Subs videos on the BB.

I remember a few years ago there was a week or two where temps were in the 90s in the UK and I saw something on the news about the number of people being hospitalized. Blows my mind.

Kind of like the time we were in florida for a training trip and highs were in the upper 60s. On the news in the morning they were talking about bundling up your children and elderly. We were swimming outdoors.

Amazing how much people's perceptions of extreme temps vary

What's remarkable about that is the fact you counted. And then you told others!

Yeah it started out just to see how many people I'd see in the first 30 minutes, and I just kept seeing people and keeping track in my head.

I mean what else would I think about on a 3 hour solo ride? Work?! The latest in 33-philosophy??

First commute done.

Only issue was the rear wheel working itself loose when I stood up once. Then when I tightened the 5mm locking QR, I think I stripped it a little. Going to contact the seller and see if something can be done. Maybe I can use track bolt ons? Are there any that work with road wheels? Not sure if any compatibility issues are present...

Also, I think grolby doesn't like me.
