It won't..we are all doomed. It's Africa hot here too...I remember in Jan listening to all guy complain about how cold it was...I was just enjoying it, last summer still fresh in my head. It hasn't been as hot this summer but the humidity has been much higher leading to higher heat indexes. I'm done with it though, bring on the cold.

If Khakis are fine for the office. Would dickies work?
Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Dickies-Front-...2015101&sr=1-8
I already own two pairs of dress pants. A pair or two of these and I would be set for a while. I can always wear the dress pants if necessary.
Found some Khaki's at macys that I might order online as well.

forget dickies are for skateboarders and gas station attendants, not office work. the polyester twill looks ok for the 1st wear, then they go south quickly.
look at jcrew. i was just in one of their outlets the other day, and they had a big sale on chinos/khakis (of all colors).

Fricken strange:
I have a door in my office that separates my office with another. The door remains closed.
I got here early and was sitting here. The place is real quiet. Suddenly the door sounded like it shut hard or was knocked on real hard.
The building that our offices are in was an old hotel back in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Most of the rooms on this floor were old bedrooms. Some of them, like mine, were two rooms joined by a door. The history in this building is pretty cool. Read some history here
The fire in the hotel, from what I was told, had taken place in this part of the building.

i think you're confusing bikeforums for styleforums.

I wish someone had taught me these things, like maybe one of my brothers. Sure couldn't ask Dad anything like that.

I'll have it weighed tomorrow probably. Gotta swing by the shop to get the front disc tightened. Won't be off work in time tonight thanks to getting in late.

140mm (5.51") in the front, 120 mm (4.75") in the rear. I'm thinking somewhere around 24 lbs, but that's a WAG. Most of my stuff is light. Magura Marta SL brakes, XTR all around, Thomson stuff isn't heavy. The wheels are beefy but still only 2000g. The fork is really light for a 140mm AM fork (1785g including 20mm Maxle) and the frame isn't all that heavy (somewhere in the 6 lb range I believe).

Be sure to get pics up, sounds like this is going to be a nice ride.

It needs a special tool. They're both centerlock discs/hubs, which I wanted since it's elegant and lighter. The rear (Q/R) uses a lock-ring tool to tighten, which I have. The front has a 20mm through axle, so you can't use the same lock ring style (because the axle is bigger than the tool), so they use a BB style lockring. It's for some BB that I don't have, so I don't have the tool.

That seems very light. I broke my old K2 (3 in front, 3.5 in back) and it was about 28 pounds. Very cheap frame, though. I bought a low end KHS and the lbs threw in a Manitou fork (130mm) and I think the thing is about 32-33 pounds. Fine for riding alone but a bit more challenging trying to keep up with skinny climbers on 24# XC machines.

Then it got interesting.
The clip started looping back, showing her dropping her top over and over, then going to slow mo. Everyone started grinning at first, then laughing. We had no idea what was going on.
Well, ends up that some of the desks can be used by someone making a presentation in the Student Union "lobby"/hang-out area - you hit some button and the feed goes to the lobby TVs. So someone (I'm assuming a guy) happened to be watching Fast Times on one of those particular VCRs.
btw the song in that scene is classic. I know it's a classic because they played it on the "classic alternative" station.

I usually let my co-workers be the guide. Generally, wear what your peers wear, or something slightly nicer.

At UCONN, when VCRs were getting less expensive, they had a bunch of desks in the Student Union where you could go and watch videos of classes and such. You could also watch some movies. They also had two TV screens in the main lobby area, usually playing movies. We'd go there after buying food, sit, eat, hang out. One day they had the Fast Times movie playing on the main screens. Got to that part of the movie. Everyone started speculating if UCONN would have some kind of censored version of the movie (like public TV would). Everyone kind of grinned when Phoebe revealed all - UCONN was broadcasting the actual movie.
Then it got interesting.
