My best power numbers come when I *think* my fitness is good, or there's something I really really want - like surviving off the front a group until the end of the race.

My numbers were really good when I had to ride hard or be late to a date with a cute girl.

Well, it's the 4's and a scary course. Be vigilant, follow the moves on the hills, and keep your work to a minimum. This might be the only time you'll ever read me tell anyone to follow moves and not work BTW.

Fleche Wallon and Giro stage victories. Leaders jerseys in the TDF and Giro. Rode aggressively all year. Slapped an Italian.

wow, Kerviel got screwed.

Societe Generale stock went up almost 4% on the news of his verdict. If you're interested in the markets, I'd read about this one. I hadn't heard about it until earlier today, but it's an interesting case.

Basically, he lost a bunch of money for his bank, never embezzled any, but did forge a few documents to hide his risk. He was in for over $60b, and his bosses supposedly had no idea... the company was only valued at $30b at the time. He's the only one charged with anything, and he's getting 3 years in jail and has to pay the company $7b in damages. Not sure where he's supposed to get $7b since he didn't embezzle anything.

Got the Points Jersey in the Giro, aka Maglia Rosso Passione. Used to be called Maglia Ciclamino

Good! I lost mine in our recliner sofa and it hasn't turned up. Lot's of weight loss was to blame. Wife got me a new one for Christmas. Couldn't find a way to use it on the bike so it is now on my finger . Hopefully when we get a new sofa some day I'll tear this one apart and find the old ring and maybe meld them together into one ring.

damn. My Droid X got undelivered. I wasn't there to sign for it, and apparently nobody in neighboring condoes signed for me.

It says I can't even go pick it up, which is lame. I don't want to sign the door tag and have them leave it. Someone stole an insulin pump that was delivered to a lady the floor below me. Something from Verizon would be a great target.

Can't you sign it saying to leave it at the FedEx location, or call the 800# and ask them to hold it for you?

I just called, apparently I can go pick it up tonight, from 5-8:30. It's only 8 minutes away too.

The website says "not available for this shipment", but the lady said it's just worded wrong.

Sucks. I waited for my DroidX on my day off. Washed car. Washed bike. Cleaned garage. Felt like a street walker waiting for a client. Not that I'd know what that felt like. Finally got the phone then promptly left.

Just took an old Selle Italia Flite to the local cobbler to get it recovered. They quoted me $40 to recover it in white calfskin. Sounds like a pretty good deal.

The mod left a note. Basically sometimes people who come in and start stuff get upset when they're rightfully called out.

It's back open, apparently it had to be cleaned up after the parts that might have merited mod activity had died a natural death.

my ****in car dealership sucks. At least the service dept. Took the dub in for some minor crap. I tell Bozo the Clown service writer whats going on and he acts like Im makin it up because I have nothing better to do...I tell him its under warranty and he tries to tell me it isnt, before he even looked it up in the computer

Then I ask if they can give me a loaner and he acts like hes never even heard such a thing. Funny thing is, the finance manager is a guy who I know who rides our training rides. I had a brand new 2011 car as a loaner

Then of course I get my car back and am told that the noises it is making is normal, but I need one of their $177 batteries..

disclaimer: if my car wasnt under warranty Id never set foot in there...

Actually had fun on my ride this morning. Was in no hurry, but a good even effort throughout. Supposed to rain (first one in nearly 6 months) over the next 24 hours, so I was happy to get in a ride before things turn crappy.
