Brad Those results don't mean he does anything. I never said he wasn't fast, just that he's boring. |

I'll let Levi know he shouldn't quit his day job as a bike racer to be an entertainer.

Boring seems to get the job done.

Brad Di Luca has won two in this Giro alone, and both happened to be extremly exciting finishes. I am sorry, but Levi is not as great as some of the people on this forum are making him out to be. Levi is an extremly talented cyclist, will he go down as one of the greats, even of American cycling ? Doubtful. |

And lance sat on until the last of his domestiques popped. Everyone does what they must to win.
|
you would not have liked Anquetil. He was willing to win by one second if necessary.

Lemond Winning three Tours Hampsten winning the Giro Landis winning the Tour. Hamilton shattering his shoulder and still coming in second in the Giro Oh yes Levi won the Tour of California three times, and sucked Contadors wheel in two Grand Tours Yep he is one of the greats . |
Landis and Hamilton should not be on that list.

2nd in the Giro with a shattered shoulder is beyond comprehension. And Landis's stage 17 performance can only be comparable to Merckx. |

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who cracks the top ten in world class bike racing results by an American certainly qualifies as an American Cycling Great. I'd say Levi has safely met that criteria. If you don't agree, I'll take that as further confirmation of the ultimate accuracy of my viewpoint. |

How can anyone argue with this? When you're convinced you are right, you are unassailable. Ask D. Cheney.

I have $500 on Levi to win the giro this year, and I hardly ever gamble.

Levi is absolutely a "great" of American cycling. He has a very impressive resume. We have had few riders who can compete like him at the international level.
I'm sticking with my belief that he's boring as all hell to watch though. |
