Great race..

Rider of the race? Tie between DiLuca and Menchov..DiLuca because he never gave up and attacked like this was a life or death situation and Menchov because he dug deeper than I'll bet he even thought possible in order to conserve every second.

Ride of the race? Goes to Satre on stage 16...epic

Most disappointing? No doubt Levi..he came he raced he got pulverized. To much put on a guy who may have raced a bit too much before this one. To Levi's credit he manned up and just said that the leaders are just too strong...no excuses...reality.

Most Hyped? LA...again to much put on a guy who was A) injured and B) hasn't raced a GT in 4 years. He did a great job of improving but what really bothered me the most was that he just couldn't admit to that...too many excuses and not enough reality.

Most annoying BF'er? bbattle and his continued efforts to report on a race as if he were there. FAIL.

Best prediction? Racer Ex and Carlos Satre.

Worst prediction? A tie between X and Lovkvist and Everyone who picked Levi...

Best inter BF battle? botto and mitchell (whoops forgot to capitalize...silly me)

Who won? All of us because this may turn out to be a better race than the Tour...Contador could potentially make the overall outcome in July rather boring...this was a nail bitter all the way..I feel lucky to have seen it.

From the start of his fall (when his rear wheel started sliding) it looks like 10 seconds until he was on a new bike, and then only 20 seconds until he was off under his own power again. Amazing.

For all you geography, architecture and history buffs, you have to admit that France has nothing on Italy for sheer beauty and visceral impact. That was just incredible seeing Italy from the race coverage pov! Dinner and drinks for the helicopter pilots are on me! Can't say which country this cyclist would prefer to ride around in because I've been to neither, but there's more in Italy I'd like to see in person. Seemed like every inch (or 2.54 centimeters) of every town and city was magical. I certainly can't say that about Woodland Hills or Canoga Park. Maybe Burbank. j/k

No but a ride up Fernwood to Mullholland will reveal a beautiful view of the Pacific...then a quick decent down to PCH and back up Yerba Buena and across Mullholland/Decker to Stunt and that view of the Pacific again..not a bad way to spend a day on a bike.

Incredible. Thanks.

I don't even know where the mechanic came from. All of a sudden he was ripping the bike off the roof. Menchov had barely stopped sliding before he was there.

Good luck. Not only is he painful to read, he's abusive to boot. He never bothers to actually articulate a position. He merely states his opinion and expects everyone to agree with him, always. Should you dare disagree with his decrees he will ask you to leave his forum. LOL
