Just an update on the sauce.
The sauce was a great success. There were leftovers because I made a huge amount, so they made an appearance on Turkey Day and all that partook raved. My MIL asked for the recipe because she wants to use it for feeding a large group (about 15 or 16 people) and is using pork is a way to make a very tasty meal and yet not be expensive. The things that make it tasty are labor intensive, but with that many at the table you have economy of scale.
I have since used the sauce as a garnish on leftover turkey meat on whole wheat bread sandwiches with GREAT results. Very yum or should I say "nom nom nom"?

Resisted at work today: homemade pumpkin muffins, chocolate covered peppermint oreos, and a big wine and cheese tasting. Weight is headed in the right direction.

I just ate a pound of pasta like 30 min ago, and now I'm ravenous again. I'm just going to keep feeding myself, what could go wrong? Next up: roast beef sandwhich with white cheddar.

Too much pumpkin bread. Wife in baking mode so the house smells delicious. Even my dog is gaining weight from a contact high. Speaking of which, that's not helping either. Gonna be a hard Dec. GL all.

Sitting here eating a double serving of Edamame. Avoided the huge cookie tray at work. Coach is tracking my weight starting today. The busy business has given me opportunity to justify balooning up to 30 pounds over where I would like to be and where I mostly was 2 seasons ago. I guess that's why I bought a training center. Easier to workout if it's part of the business.

Breakfast: 1/2c oatmeal (rolled, not steel cut, I didn't have that much time), 1oz raisins, 1oz walnuts, 1tp maple syrup, 2 eggs.
Ride: 1 banana, 3 bottles of sports drink, 1 clif bar, 3200kj.
Post-ride smoothie: 1tbspn fresh ground peanut butter, 1 banana, 1tbspn unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 scoop ON premium gold whey.
Lunch: 1.5c spinach, 2 mushrooms, 4oz chicken breast, homemade balsamic vinaigrette , 5 brussels sprouts split in half, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with sea salt and pepper, and grilled.
I think I'm waddling now. Time to go do some yard work.

The simplicity of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich hit the spot.

On a serious note though what is the sauce that is on the chicken? Looks like a lemongrass w/ coconut milk & herbs (Lots o turmeric).

Hah, okay, Tandoori-flavored chicken. It's just plain yogurt, garlic, turmeric, ginger, and black pepper.

I made a pretty successful chicken chili last winter using white beans with some of the usual chicken soup veggies and corn. No tomatoes. Mashing some of the white beans helped make it thicker. It seemed to take a lot more cumin and other chili-making spices than my regular chili recipe.

My vegetarian experiment (November 1st-30th) is over. Easier and tastier than I expected it to be. I'm going to continue eating vege a few days per week.
December is a no sweets experiment. Donuts, desserts, and candy have been nixed from the menu. I made the decision before considering that this is the best month for this stuff. Apparently I had the dumb that day.

Speaking of chili, that's what I made tonight:
Eggplant, tomatoes, carrots, corn, zucchini, yellow squash, kidney beans, white beans, garbanzo beans. Spicy. There's some brown rice under there too.

Damn, once again.
You're so going to have to come to Florida for a training camp. Mollusk will mix the drinks, my wife will bake cookies, and we'll just have a grand old time.
