Since our dirtjumps are about a 25minute ride from my house I usually strap a shovel to this and bushwack my way out there.

Special mods include.

Custom front fascia (not shown)
Batman logo covering bad bondo job.
F-150 horn.
Stickers.
Ductaped stuff.
Hole cut in side so I can get a screwdriver in to adjust the idle.

It's not good to learn them without a coach or throw them wrong. If you throw them right you're fine for the most part. I start off throwing them wrong and by the time my coach helped me it was too late.

I finally have enough for new tires. So you can picture my current ride with Aitken tires.

On a side note...i've gotten 3 flats in the last 2 days. Let's just say i'm not going back to ride at the high school by my house anytime soon. Even though those ledges are fun.

gnr rocker 03-16-07 03:10 PM

Shave those dropouts wtp. it would look much better imo.

wethepeople 03-16-07 03:20 PM

I've thought about it, but never gotten around to it.

I want to do a good job if I do, so instead of using a angle grinder I would use a die grinder with a cut off wheel.

kjohnnytarr 03-16-07 03:38 PM

I dig the chain guard on that sprocket

wethepeople 03-16-07 03:54 PM

Meh, I would prefer not to have it. No need for it really.

So I decided to hell with it and just attacked my bike with an angle grinder.

Before:

After:

I still have to clean the gunk off of the chainstays from the tape and get a new chain/grips.

gnr rocker 03-16-07 04:07 PM

use the angle grinder and clean it up with a dremel

wethepeople 03-16-07 04:24 PM

Ya, I'm out of sanding bits for my dremel.

gnr rocker 03-16-07 04:40 PM

Well you can always clean it up later

KinetikBiker 03-16-07 05:09 PM

Looks a bit better. I still don't get why you have 2 or more bikes though. I had another bmx for awhile that i would ride street and beat the hell out of but then i think mude needed the forks and so it slowly got taken apart and parted out to people for small sums of money to make my primary bike better. I'd rather have one really nice bike then one nice bike and a beater.

Despite the fact that your other bike is dialed.

wethepeople 03-16-07 07:40 PM

I can ride this one around and not care if I smash it down on a piece of coping and kink the frame or anything. This bike has so many dents in it, and it's still solid.

I've just been building it slowly with spare parts, only new things I've installed was new MacNeil Houndstooth grips today.

wethepeople 03-16-07 07:43 PM

Also, just got this built:

Sidearm is actually easier on your arm. sidearm curves are a bit more difficult though.

MadMan2k 03-16-07 09:46 PM

God damn, that fork is huge. Your eyebrows are thick as hell too.

wethepeople 03-17-07 02:31 AM

No and yes.

The fork isn't as big as a lot of the ones out there, and yes, my eyebrows are bushy.

I heard differently. I ended up with tendonitis in my elbow and 'tenis elbow' from sidearm. So i don't think it's very good.

WTP - Nice flannel. No ****.

You hear wrong. If you throw sidearm properly, it is a lot better for your arm, although sidearm curves can really kill your elbow. Think about it, do you have your arms over your head all day, or by your sides? Which is more comfy? Underhand is the easiest on your arm, and then sidearm, and then overhand.

Sidearm curves is probly what did it. I threw them alot. They would drop faster then queens when he hears gunshots! :p

I miss baseball.

FitRider 921 03-17-07 01:49 PM

Yeah, that would do it because those are really bad on you. From being crippled I've been playing around with my grips and releases and found a new grip/release for my curveball which adds a lot of spin. I have to try it out when the snow melts.

KinetikBiker 03-18-07 06:07 AM

Word. Are you right handed?
