All this talk about Dans comp
Seems like everyone on here is obbsessed with dan's comp, most people I know either order from Empire, or Albes, I personal order from Albes, because they deliver faster than Dans, Plus i don't pay anything for shipping when I order from Albes.

Well it just depends where you live for how long shipping takes. If you have a Dans Comp catalog (which they give out for free) then there's a code on the back for free shipping on orders that total at 50$ or more. I think that that's a pretty good deal since it saves you 9 bucks for shipping. And it's like getting 9$ worth of merchandise for free. It only takes 2 days for my orders from Dans to get here, and they ship in the same day you order. And probably the biggest reason I keep ordering my stuff from them is that they're really nice and have a great customer service, so I like to give them my buissness. They really put the customer first, and I like that. I've never head of Empire and I've only heard Albe's mentioned in some reviews at bmx-test.com. I'm not going to stop ordering from Dans though, I love 'em.

Dude, as far as I'm concered you can shuv' every one of those (except Dans Comp) up your ass. Get the bike parts from who you like and be on your buissness. I already gave my two cents on the other post I have on this thread.

DansComp sucks because it is run by a bunch of old men in suits who do nothing for the sport. Not only that, they do shady things, such as making fake T1 shirts (ever notice they don't sell T1...?). Order from Albes, Empire, or Staff, unless Dans has some super duper deal.

You better watch your ****in' mouth boy, I don't think you know what you're talking about. I've emailed their customer service at least twenty times, and my overall impression is that at least some of them are definetly riders. But I said 'least', everytime I've emailed them they give me their opinions and say what they have on their bikes, then that is what they'll usually suggest. And I've gotten lots of different opinions from them too on lots of different parts so that already goes to show that some of them are most definetly riders. Because or else they'd all say the same thing and that would be the most expensive part. And have you actually had a bad experience with Dans Comp, or are you just saying that because you're stupid? It you're going to say that something sucks, then you better have some reasons. And who gives a **** if they make some shirts wrong or fake shirts, IT'S JUST A ****ING SHIRT!!!

I've only bought some pedals from danscomp, but they seem like a nice company, and I'll probably buy a bike there next week. Supporting biking is good and all, but I think I'd rather do business with a business that does it well...
Unappealing websites really turn me away from stores, same with data inconsistencies, capitalized descriptions, numerous spelling errors (one or two are understandable), etc.

Yea, dans has definately made some shady dealings. They are a very large company and diliver good for the most part. I have only had a few problems in the dozens of transactions I've made with them. But faking T-shirts is not just a deal of "just an f-ing shirt." they didnt make shirts wrong, they went and made fake terrible 1 shirts and they were supposed to have sold them for terrible 1. It's a very big deal. That's stealing money from a great bmx company and it's a horrible thing to do. I stopped ordering from dans for a while when i heard about that, but have gotten a few things from there afterwards. I like Staff alot better, the only problem is they are alot smaller and dont have as nice a catalog, although they always have what i need. they are a rider ownded company and if I had to choose just one company to order from, it would be staff. Dan's is fast, Dan's is for the most part reliable, Dan's is huge, so why not order from them, but the fact is they are not the only bmx distributer in the country and smaller companies need customers too. and as far as saying to forcibly insert staff and those other companies in to some one's anus.. not cool. Just because dan's has riders work for them doesent mean its rider owned. And dont say i havent had any deailings with dans because based on your posts I've had quite a few more than you. Dan's does run a decent mail order company. Order from where you want, it doesent really matter as long as you're happy.

i would only order from empire or dans. Albes website is pretty ****ty. even though many people buy from them and there are no problems, it makes me think it's a scam, although it probably isn't. Also, i noticed that they sell some old frames also.

FACT: Dan's Comp is not run by riders. Dan Duckworth doesn't ride, and he doesn't even own the company anymore; it's owned by the same corporation that owns Central Coast Skateboarding (CCS) mailorder.
FACT: Staff is rider-owned.
FACT: Albes is rider-owned.
FACT: Empire is rider-owned, and Tom Williams deserves your money. His word is his bond.

Alright, I over-reacted and acted like a *****, sorry. You can buy your bike stuff from whoever the heck you like, but as for me I'll keep getting my stuff from Dans. I'm thinking about checking out that Empire company or whatever it is. Just to compare and stuff like that.
No comment. It's not worth the effort

you know why i like albes? in my shipment there was a handwritten invoice, not just a computer printout. i like the idea that my order was processed and written down by a human, not just sent right to the warehouse via my internet order.

Another thing is Albes when you order shirts, let you pick what color you want the shirt in, and when i ordered my tree bike co. shirt, they even were albe to find me the one int eh exact size and color i wanted even though they were sold out at the time. Also when there is a problem with your order, like if they don't have something in the color you want, they'll either call you, or email you to let you know, and so you can make another choice.

You all are crazy, there is only one place worth ordering from.
www.flatlandfuel.com
Pat Schoolen rocks, he's a good guy, and he rides.
Dans has done some VERY shady things in their past and as a company are very questionable for any sort of dedication to the sport. Copying T1 shirts, copying Graveyard handlebars... They are shady and they screw over RIDERS when they do shady things. If you gave Dans Comp $10,000.00 and they didn't give you one product or item in return, then you would understand why T1 doesn't do business with them. T1 shirts were VERY popular and instead of buying them and supporting a rider owned company, Dans made fake shirts, sold them to the public WITHOUT letting people know they were buying 'copies', and kept all the profits.
Very shady...
But, they also have consistently had low prices, fast service, and treated me well. I order from them when Pat doesn't have what I need. Dans has gotten me out of jams when Albes and others have treated me poorly.
