Again, you're welcome.
It was stagnating at three pages when it turned into a worthwhile thread about music instead of the sad ramblings of the OP. I usually love when these threads get productive and we get around to discussing music. Helps me remember all the cool stuff I should dig out and play again. Went a little crazy with Coltrane and Davis last night after the rest of the crew went to bed. |
We don't talk about movies often enough.

I'd be comfortable going in that direction as well. Going through yet another Hitchcock revival around here lately........ |

So much promise but can't act himself out of a bag today. And of course the Hopper/Walkin scene is sublime. If I had to count it, I'd put it before Django. Your lowness of Basterds is blasphemy. ;) :p |

Amazing!

On a side note, enjoying a little Joss Whedon Serenity (for the umpteenth time) while cruising the forums. Love the Jane.

True Romance? Might as well count the dreck known as From Dusk Til Dawn.

I've always loved that movie, and Patricia Anquette is wonderful. Django isn't bad, it's just how many damn times can I see him do a Leone tribute? Enough already, move forward. I also thought the end needed work...it would have been more consistent with the film had he led a revolt. Speaking of Leone tributes... I loved The Quick and the Dead |

Not much of a Blasters fan, so the album title or the image didn't ring any bells. Sorry! |
Just gonna throw my $0.02 in here- this has been a nice thread to follow. Got introduced to the Blasters- I've got the album playing right now. Gonna buy it and several others mentioned here. Thanks, guys.
And FWIW- Connery, Connery, Connery, and Craig ;). |

My favorite saddle is a Sella Italia Flite carbon. It's nothing but a carbon shell, no padding at all. Second place goes to the vintage or reissued Cinelli Unicanitor. I've got both. Plastic shell with no padding.
It seems that my experience runs counter to the OP's extreme claims. I'm not surprised. I have at least 4 of the Flite carbons, my favourite, I also use Tune Kom Vor, which is similar in construction. |
No one mentioned the Avocet Touring line of saddles, I and II both mens and womens models. Those are pretty popular saddle still. Vintage and leather... I sell them as quickly as I pick them up, but am riding one now temporarily on a newly acquired vintage bike, and it's not awful. PG
As to the list of movies above, I've seen only one, Pulp Fiction. Disquieting. Cannot recommend. Fine movies: An Affair to Remember Rocky 1 Sound of Music True Grit Pride and Prejudice Roman Holiday |
Mu opinion on C&V BS..?
Steel is real is true, but does not make for a better ride quality. Vintage bicycles offer better ride quality - nonsense! Vintage bicycles are easier to use - nonsense! Vintage bicycles are less expensive - possibly, depending on the individual's ability to acquire one for little cash outlay and do the necessary work to street restore/maintain. Vintage bicycles are easier to ride - nonsense! Vintage bicycles offer their own set of ride and user rewards - you bet or all my rides would look just like this alloy Bianchi which is easy to ride, very comfortable and just as fast as anything in my past/present stable... http://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...3&d=1421872840 However, I like my vintage riders... http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpe...ll_TQF_L_1.jpg ... every bit as much as my newer rides! |
Wait a minute. We're talking about movies now. Pay no attention to that OP behind the curtain. Let him bring order to some other galaxy.

Best movies? Highly subjective of course, but… Dr. Strangelove Citizen Kane A Clockwork Orange Fellini's Casanova A touch of Evil Amarcord Etc. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure…no, wait... Not necessarily in that order, except Dr. Strangelove…. The best movie ever made, IMO |
OK - movies. The two that have most impacted me from both story and presentation are incredibly similar...
Dances With Wolves and Avatar. Both took me away from here in more than convincing ways. |

Looking over this data you'd have to be an idiot to still be riding on C&V saddles at this point:
