Bikes: A few
Added One. '73 Colnago. Reasonably correct build, I need to finish it off and build a proper set of tubulars for it.
I noticed in many of the preceding posts a plan to reduce the number of bikes folk have. I was too busy to do that this year. Maybe next year. The bike room is Full.

I'm up one on the year. '74 Motobecane CT. Still in assembly. There should be another bike coming after the new year.

In refering to [MENTION=284135]rjhammett[/MENTION] as the "king of scored deals in the [MSP] metro area", that is a huge understatement. Bob is more like the "king of scored deals among the C&V crowd" period.

He definitely has a keen eye.
As for the TC area, he's fortunate a friend of mine retired and moved to Costa Rica. He scooped most of the cream the last 15 years and left a couple here and there......

As far as my own bikes... I bought and sold none.
I thought I bought one- but since I have no concept of time, that was the year before.

Well this year on total I am N+3. I got fed up with the beating I get on our rough roads on my modern CF frames and went looking for a solution.
First was a 2003 Lemond Tourmelet that's turned into my daily rider when the weather is good. Reynolds 853 and a nice plush rider:

Then I stumbled on this beauty. A 1989 Giordana Antares. It a Billato built Cromor frame that I've yet to get a good ride in on yet. Snow kicked in before I got it ready. I just got in some Magenta BBB bar tape that pretty much a perfect match for the paint that will go on soon. Just trying to decide if I want to double wrap the bars or put gel pads under the tape. Then I need to find some classic looking tires for it and replace the decals which are in bad shape. Velocals has the proper headbadge for this so I plan to order what I need through him.

Finally, I fulfilled a longtime dream and got myself a Ti bike. It's a Lynskey R265 that I bought to hopefully be my ultimate comfort, long distance rider. Here again, with the snow packed roads and chemicals down now it won't get it's first ride until spring. I can't wait.

So, only one true C&V I guess but one day I want to get a truly beautiful, lugged, lightweight, campy equipped, italian steed of wonderful, magical, steel. That may come the moment I go to N-2 by selling my 2011 Trek Madone 5.9 and 2009 Scott CR1 Pro in the spring.

I'm a little embarrassed at how many bikes I bought this year, but if there's any place for a confessional, it's this forum.
N+7 listed in chronological purchase order:
86 Diamondback Ascent
93 Specialized Rockhopper Sport
90 Novara Trionfo
84 Fuji Mt Fuji
91 Paramount Series 70 PDG
84 Fuji Touring Series IV

Ok, I was at one point N+9 this past July. I sold 2, gave away 5 and kept 2 for myself. Those bikes are used in opposite seasons, mostly. One is a 2002 Trek 820st that gets me out in the snow and on the trails. The other bike is a real keeper and most have already seen the pics. The '77 Colnago Super....

Bikes: 1966 Dawes Double Blue, 1976 Raleigh Gran Sport, 1975 Raleigh Sprite 27, 1980 Univega Viva Sport, 1971 Gitane Tour de France, 1984 Lotus Classique, 1976 Motobecane Grand Record
I'm happy to be finishing the year minus a couple of bikes, though not necessarily happy with how it happened.
I crashed and wrecked my Fuji, which had been set up as a winter singlespeed. Once I'm healed up enough to do it, I'm going to convert my Univega Viva Sport to that role, and save the excess parts. That's an N-1
I also gave my Raleigh Sprite three-speed to a friend who will use it a a city bike in Portland (Maine, not Oregon.) It wasn't practical for the Vermont hills around here. Another N-1.
I scored a 1972 Gitane TdF frame, but that one is a wash, since I'm going to clean it up and move the components from my 71 TdF--which was always a little small for me--onto the larger frame. N+/-0.
So all in all, it was a good year--I'm down to 7 bikes, I think.

Bikes: Berthoud Randoneusse, Curt Goodrich steel road, Zanconato Minimax road, Jeff Lyon steel all road,
This one came today, traded for a different bike, so NO net gain or loss, keeping me at N+5 for the year
1999 Serotta Atlanta 54cm with mixed Chorus and Athena 9 speed. In great shape, super smooth rider, got it built up and test ridden this afternoon. Gotta make a few changes to make it mine, but its close.

Bikes: 4 Merckx, 5 Bontragers and a bunch more...
In 2015 I bought
5 Bontrager frames
4 Merckx frames
1 Ibis frame
I recently sold 1 Bontrager frame
So the total is N+9 for the year.
In 2016 I plan to (finally) build up two Merckx and one Bontrager and sell one Bonty frame.

I started the year with 8 bikes 1) All City Macho Man 2) Miyata 912 3) Nishiki International 4) All City Mr Pink 5) Schwinn Paramount 6)Schwinn Peloton 7) Schwinn s[nine 5].4 8) Motobecane Jubilee
I bought 1) Fuji Cross Pro 2) Roll 08 3) Gazelle Champion Mondial 753 4) Trek 750 Pro 5) Trek 600 6) Performance Serotta Speciale 7) GT Zaskar 8) Dave Kane Lightweight Special
I sold 1) the Macho Man 2) Mr Pink 3) Paramount and 4) the Miyata 912 5) Fuji Cross Pro 6) Roll 08 7) GT Zaskar
I ended the year with 1) Schwinn Peloton 2) Performance Serotta Speciale 3) Gazelle Champion Mondial 4) Nishiki International 5) Trek 750 Pro 6) Trek 600 7) Dave Kane LW 8) Motobecane Jubilee 9) Schwinn s[nine 5].4
So I'm N+1 for the year with a much nicer line up. I'm actively working to move the Peloton out soon (its stripped and some parts have been sold or repurposed) with the Trek 600 leaving soon also. I'm trying to find a Miyata CT-3000 or CT-5000 or a Trek 2500. I want to try out a carbon tubed frame with aluminum lugs. So current plans have me at N-1 or N=0 by spring

+2 and -1
Picked up a Univega Gran Tourismo, sold a much-too-tall Giant-built Nishiki Sport, then picked up a Miyata 710.
Now over this Winter I'll be fitting out the two acquisitions the way I want them...

I didn't know we were supposed to keep track of our N+'s. I bought a Geurciotti cause I always wanted one. It was really a big frame. Sold it to Steve Whitlatch. Bought a 1969 Witcomb. Had it built up most of the way, sold it to Steve Whitlatch. Bought a 76 Schwinn Superior, Big frame, sold it to Steve Whitlatch. Bought a Gazelle Tour l ' avenir, never rode it, sold it to you know who.
I did recently buy a 71 Raleigh Comp. in Lilac color. I actually rode it several times. It's a keeper. Just bought a Viking on ebay. It's being shipped. So that's my N+1 for next year.

It's been a great year for acquiring bikes and parts. Looking forward to 2016.
Oh, Big shout out to "bdub". We worked out a trade and I ended up with a sweet Jeunet frame. Repainted it. Built it up in true french fashion.

I finished building my Lemond Titanium this year, though I acquired the frame last year. So I have one more rolling bike.

My Raleigh International still isn't done after five or six years. I've made progress, though, but don't tell fender1.

Although not vintage, I only added one bike this year. I have downsized to six bikes and after getting my 2004 LeMond Arrivee I think I could get by with one bike!
It is without a doubt the nicest riding bike I have owned. It's light, quick and fun!

I ended up at a net loss for the year, due to my move. Got rid of four neglected / unstarted project bikes that had been collecting dust downstairs, and picked up a PDG Schwinn Paramount.

A slow year for acquisitions, but I didn't sell anything. So +3 for the year: A '90 Merlin (not yet built), an '86 Look KG86 (almost ready after an unfortunate repair), and a nice, high-end mystery mixte for my growing daughter.

I'm pretty sure I wound up at n-1 for 2015, four out and three in, relatively low volume for me overall. Sold both of my Ron Stout framesets, an '84 Specialized Sequoia and a Soma Double Cross disc complete bike. Working from most recent, snagged this early Kellogg Spectrum:

A neo-retro '05 Mercian Vincitore road fixie:

And early in the year found this '77 Schwinn Paramount tourer w/factory canti bosses. The Paramount needs some new pix, she's got Honjo hammered fenders and different racks now:
