Pic of the shifter?

Anyone help with (4) DT Swiss 1.8mm spoke nipples? 1cm tall, 3.23cm nipples. Need to rebuild a mid/late 80s wheel and I somehow lost (4) spokes. LBS only carries 2.0 + spokes, and that's all I've got in boxes as well.

Does anyone have a spare 110mm bb spindle that they would be willing to part with? I have plenty of parts that I would be willing to trade.

ISO: 7sp 126mm freehub rear hub. Something like a 105. My brother has broken an axle on his 105 freewheel hub, and needs something stronger to lace in on his commuter bike. Cosmetics don't matter. What'cha got?

Edit: need a 7 speed - I'm out of 7sp freehub spares, so 8sp won't work.

Thanks,
-John

I do, but it may take me until Monday to mail them out to you. Please email me (not private message) with your address.

I have a shimano 600 first gen freehub, hub from about 1981, excellent condition. The kind where the bearing load holds the freehub on. I have the 6 speed uniglide cassette for it too in excellent condition, probably 13-28. PM me if it's of interest.

Edit NM, I see you want 7 speed and I am not sure you can put a 7speed cassette on this, but I can measure the freehub body.

Yeah - I think I should stick with hyperglide-compatible too. Thanks though.

Can you be more specific with context and your goal?

noglider I am going to swap out the crank on my U08 for a Stronglight Impact compact crank. The Stronglight website states that 107mm is the recommended length while the site which I purchased it from says that 110mm is the ideal length. I guess that means I would also need a 107mm to try out. I want to use an old fashioned spindle and not a cartridge BB since the French cups I installed are perfectly fine.

ISO: A tabbed washer for a Simplex RD as pictured below. I recently picked up a Simplex SLJ derailleur but unfortunately the tab has been sheared off the washer so there is no means to limit the derailleur rotation. I also need a set of pulleys for this derailleur as well, so would also be interested in a partial/not working derailleur with both the tabbed washer and pulleys.

Have lots of items to trade, just let me know what you're after.

Thanks!

He can't use an 8-sp and a spacer? I understand if he doesn't want to "go wide," but just checking.

I took that part to a local welder and had the tab arc welded back on for a few dollars. It worked perfectly. Granted, I had the tab, but maybe something could be kludged.

Yeah, I'm considering that route as well, but I'd have to dig something up to use as the tab. Probably wouldn't be too difficult though if nothing else turns up.

Trade: friction shifters

I have a pair of Camagnolo metal downtube shifters (clamp style) from 40+ years ago. Looking for a similar type of Dura-Ace friction, clamp style downtube shifters.

I kludged one with a 3/8" fender washer (the larger diameter the washer the better), a dremel/hacksaw and some pliers to bend the tab up. In your case you might have to make a spring hole as well, but it wasn't difficult, just a lot of test fitting. You're essentially cutting down the fender washer to be a teardrop shape and bending the tail upwards.

I probably have something. I just organized the crankset/bb box. There are a ton of spindles in there. If you don't hear from me by tomorrow night, send me a text. Cheers........

I have an 80mm SR stem, but it is rough and will need some polishing. Correction - the stem is not 26mm.

I am ready to bring this 100% original Peugeot mixte back to life. The only thing needed is a single Mafac plastic lever which is broken. I have lots of stuff I could trade you for it - hit me up!
