ISO a detent spring for a SRAM MRX grip shifter (3x7). Was fixing a bike up for someone who apparently tried to fix something themselves and when I went to look at it, the spring was just gone. The one missing was for the RD but since the FD was also jacked up, I totally took that off for the time being and I grabbed the one from the left shifter and they are the same so it worked. So now, the rear shifts fine but the front is non functional without the spring. I haven't found anywhere that sells this obscure part for one of these so I know it's a long shot but if anyone has one lying around or a broken shifter that it could be harvested from. Not sure if the same part is used on different speeds but possible.

Yes, I know that they're cheap but in this case I'm not really willing to shell out that much to get it fixed. This is a bike I had running perfectly and in a couple of weeks the owner had trashed it pretty badly and I've already had to spend more on it than I wanted to just to get it mostly functional. If you could buy just the detent springs, I might consider it but I'm also inclined to just leave the FD off because the owner rode it with the chain rubing so badly for an extended period of time that there was a big gouge in the cage. It left such a big notch in the cage that I couldn't put it back on for fear it the chain would catch on it and cause more problems.

I am restoring my 1975 California Masi. Its all italian i had read i thought that Italian thread was interchangeable with something else, but i guess not.

An English thread headset on an Italian thread steer tube will work, but is considered a "class B fit" as there will be some re-forming of the thread profile. If you use an aluminum headset, this will occur exclusively on the aluminum parts, and you will have converted your English thread headset to Italian. With a steel headset, both the headset and the steer tube will be somewhat re-formed. It's not generally a problem at least for the life of the headset.

okay thats what i read. thanks, i have been able to stay with the correct threads, i was looking at replacing the headset for suspected bearing problems or a worn cup but it was all okay. cleaned, polished, repacked. one more step down to putting her back on the road. !!

From a 1985 Trek 620 - Bought it on CL for the components, frame was broken (don't know much other than it looked like it was crushed mid way on the down tube - didn't seem like a typical front end collision) - fork looks in good shape (after I got the stem out).

Had 700c wheels - although the catalog says 27" Likely from a 21" frame (I have the head tube)

ISO shiny dual pivot brakeset. I'm throwing a 6600 gruppo on an Ironman and I want some dual pivots to match. I can never get single pivots tuned.

Have: lots. Single pivot 105 and 600 brakes. 600 groupset. Other fun stuff.

I'm very interested in the fork but am at work and cant make any comparison measurements until this evening.

Searching for a sleeve nut for a Cyclone rear hub cartridge bearing. Sunshine/Sansin used these, as did Suzue and some early Surly hubs I believe. 10 mm thread, 12mm bearing diameter (for a 6001 bearing).

ISO: Deore 32 or 36 hole front hub. Ideally XT M730, but alternatives acceptable.

Have: Deore XT M730 28 hole front hub. Recently repacked, excellent shape.

This looks pretty much like the Tange-124 aftermarket replacement fork, except the 124 was chrome plated. These might still be available.
