Top of line SR?

I picked up an SR bike last week. It was full Dura Ace. Obviously repainted though so I wonder what model it was. It has braze-on front derailleur hanger which I haven't seen on other SR frames on this forum. Any ideas which year / model this is?

SR Pro Racing was the top of the line. What is the Serial# on yours, can likely date it from that.

Here is an example

Most of the frame details look right except the brazed on FD hanger. I'm also curious about the s/n, as I've been keeping track of those I come across.

The serial number is along the left lower part of the seat tube and says S9M6004

Interesting. That s/n format is different than others I've seen for SR frames, typically Miki, Araya or an unknown builder, s/n (LLNNNN). That could explain the difference of the FD hanger on yours.

Based on @T-Mar's Asian Serial Number Guide, that format follows the S(2) format (SyFxxxx) associated with Shogun, and implies a mid-1979 build date. That would predate the other Dura-Ace SR bikes I've found, which were nominally 1981 models.

More questions for you: What size is the frame? What generation DA components were on the bike? What brand is the rear dropout?

Is it just a shadow I see, or is the rear point on the drive-side fork crown starting to separate from the fork blade?

Bikes: None in ridable condition

This Shogun seems like a match:

The serial number is pretty close, too (#S9M6081).

There didn't seem to be any responses in that thread but perhaps Vonruden eventually found the model #? Maybe 3000?

This frame measures 22.5" or 57cm C-T-C along the seat tube and 21.5" C-T-C along the top tube. Components on it were first generation Dura Ace EX BA-200, GA-200, etc. All the brazing is intact without any separation. Drive side rear dropout says Shimano, non-drive side says "SF". Front dropouts are Tange. Frame is for sale.
