Nearing completion: new whitewall tires by Michelin (sport), 28x700c.

Max inflation 6 bar, which gives a very elegant ride. Handy when encountering cobble stones...

Bikes: too many

Hey Lucas... I meant to thank you for doing a part-by-part listing of the bicycle. I think it's a great service to anyone who might run across the same bicycle in the future, and wondering if they have the original setup still in tact, have something to bounce if off of. It's a great looking steed, and you've done a splendid job getting it back into running order.

Looks great Lucas!

Those whitewalls make Marcel look like he is ready for a latin american military parade.

I'll stick to the Benelux for the time being.

And, by the way, this forum is so valuable for bike-lovers! The more people contribute, the more information is gathered, the more we can enjoy our mutual moving part of history! And let's be frank: rebuilding bikes and keeping them on the road is the most beautiful thing to do, isn't it? Kind of historic duty...

Bike content; some people refer to one inch pitch as "skip tooth"; I think she qualifies! And I'm old enough to remember to song...

Hear! Hear! Is there a more noble pursuit than the rustoration, documentation, and resuse-ification of the fine metal steeds associated with the silver, golden, and other golden era. I think not, at least not for myself. It's about the only ever way someone is going to associate the words "beautiful" and "uncle uncle" ever. That's my thinking on it.
