Bikes: ........................................ .....Holdsworth "Special"..... .......Falcon "Special".......... .........Miyata 912........... ........................................

I saw that. It's actually a cool bike that seems to be in original condition, unlike the Falcon which was hobbled together.

$1,200.00 ? I don't think so. I'd pay $200.00 because of its cool factor.

Green, Like Frankensteen!

If you liked the issues with the Falcon, you're going to enjoy this example even more.

And yet, the young man seems sincere?

On his FB page for his business, Vintage Fixie, he posts of selling a UO-8 for $400.

This photo from his timeline may explain much? (Actually, I was expecting something greener and more smoke-able.)

I met him in person several times a couple of years back. If fact he purchased a few frames that I had but was never going to use. At the time he was a hustling bike messenger in Manhattan and tinkering with bikes and flipping on the side. I also traded with him a couple of times and he was a nice guy. Maybe a year ago he called me to tell me that he was planning to open a small consignment shop/bike shop/messenger service in Poughkeepsie. I hoped that he would succeed especially since cycling has grown in the area especially with the opening of the Walkway Over the Hudson and the redevelopment of parts of the city. I never had the chance to visit the shop or learn more about it but It seems he has gone astray... Man those prices are nothing short of fatuous.
