Vintage Locks

User tcs posted this photo in the Commuting forum of his Citadel lock and it made me look for a thread about locks. (Not a locked thread or threadlock.)

Sure, it could be picked, cut or jacked, but why bother when there are as nice or nicer bikes locked up nearby, secured with cables?

So I looked around for other threads and found this Pug and a couple of Raleigh steering locks

Have Raleigh Suberbe with fork lock -key?

Anyone have any other locks? Anything pre-boom? Anything clever or weird from the boom? In my 1980's childhood we had simple chain locks with combination tumblers, or just hardware store chains and padlocks.

I have a Dudley long shackle that was sold for bikes. Not sure it would hold up in bad weather.

Wouldn't these only work for very old vintage thieves? Just sayin ... 😉

The only usefulness for this one is vintage appeal. Sears Roebuck nostalgia.
