I'd be tempted to buy it if I did not already have one bike in Denver waiting for me to come back out there to ship it home.

Lynn, you've got such high-class problems... :D

How about a early 1980's Univega Sportour? New unassembled in box?

Until you find out that the seller is asking $200 for his Schwinn Varsitys - never mind the good stuff.

Here is a Colnago Super that appears to be in very nice condition.... price is right so far..... http://cgi.ebay.com/COLNAGO-COLUMBUS...QQcmdZViewItem

Grand Bois 06-05-06 04:52 PM

I was going to bid $65 on this one just because I think it's cute, it has Phil hubs and it's local, so no shipping.

http://tinyurl.com/lbxom

Not long after it closed, my wife announced that the doctor told her that the problem she's having with her hip is not going to go away any time soon and she said she won't be able to ride unless she has a bike with a step-through frame. Is it possible to have buyer's remorse because you didn't buy something? If so, that's what I'm feeling.

Dude,

You missed a sweet one, and for cheap!!!

Grand Bois 06-05-06 05:44 PM

Don't rub it in!

What I really need is a girl frame for this:

bigbossman 06-05-06 06:11 PM

Dirtdrop,

I've got a Nishiki Olympic 12 mixte frame in the shed you can have, if you want to build one up for your wife. It isn't pretty, but it is complete, less a wheel set. You'll have your hands full overhauling it... :D

Yours for free if you want - PM me if you want to come get it.

I'm not sure that's such a great deal or not. The bike appears to have no brakes, and looks a little shabby. Still cool though. :)

Anyone notice this going on ebay? 1960 Spacelander! If only I won the lotto last night and had the $$$ for the opening bid let alone what ever the reserve is.

thinking about bidding on this one for cheep campy parts.. unidentified frame (reynold tubing) may keep the price down. Either way I will be contacting the winner about selling the cranks. I want a set of those 180s! Odd that they are on a 57". Item # 7247569105

cudak888 06-09-06 04:40 PM

It's not mine, but is anyone interested in an all-original 21" '76 Raleigh Competition?

Huret/TA mix, excellent original black paint, original tubular wheelset, Brooks saddle, original handlebar/stem. Only missing the brake levers and calipers. Very nice condition.

Not sure if he'll sell to someone who isn't local. LMK if anyone's interested.

Take care,

-Kurt

Wish there was a better description. Any thoughts on this? Are Puchs good?

My thoughts are that it might be a decent bike. The ad's been up for at east a week or two, so he's having trouble selling it. Which is interesting, as the SF Bay Area is a hot bike market in general and right now is peak season for selling.

Either it's a dog or his ad isn't grabbing attention. If you're close to that area you might want to arrange go see it and decide for yourself. The price is right if it's clean and rideable as-is, not so good if it needs work/parts and has lower end bits like steel wheels, etc.

I've been tempted to take a look myself, but I'd just want to flip it so the price is too high for me...:D I did show it to a co-worker a few days ago, but he never went to go look it over.
