GT All Terra?
My neighbor has a blue GT All-Terra bike for sale. It seems in decent enough condition to make a nice ride, except the rear derailer(sp?) is busted.
I was wondering how much it would be worth in this condition and how much it would cost to fix. I think he wants $50 for the bike
Thanks

Not sure if it's just the angle of the photo, but that second pic makes it look like one of the fork blades might be bent.

Looks like an entry level GT. The Altus drivetrain says it's not a serious mountain bike, but it should be functional. The frame's probably chromoly, so that's the strong suit of the bike. $50 sounds about right to me, maybe less with the rear der. mangled like that.

Only drawback that I see here to yours is that the rings aren't bolted on, but built into the crankset - I've never been fond of these type cranksets.

At first I figured it had Rapidfire shifters (*push* *push*), but now that I look at the picture more closely, I can only see one lever on the backside of the handlebars. Yet I don't recall Shimano's lower end having Rapidfire Plus until 1993. Maybe someone else can see better than me.
