"I have a brand new child stoker kit that has never been used. The first picture shows what it is and the second picture shows my son and I riding our tandem with the child stoker kit (ignore the trail-a-bike). I have a tandem for sale, see it now on Craig's list if you are interested."

Possible he's selling a different one than the one installed?

Can't read the headbage, eh?

And posting it every day doesn't seem to be helping it sell. Weird... Maybe buyers are wary of meeting his "conditions?"

Bikedued 03-28-08 08:29 PM

Here we go again, 4th time in the last 2 months without a price drop. I've already asked about it several times, and they will not answer.,,,,BD

Don't know - but I nagged him a few days ago when he posted it three times in a row. His reply went something to the extent of:

"DO YOU WANT THE BICYKLE OR NOT**********"
Utter moron.

It would also be a fantastic collectors piece. Includes many neat features like a braze-on spoke holder on the chainstay, cantilever brake bosses, fender and rack eyelets etc...

The condition of this bike is 100% new. It has been sitting in a living room for 25 years and it looks like it came out of the box yesterday.

I am happy to ship internationally if you are willing to pay the shipping.

Item is listed locally as well. Reserve the right to end auction if needs be.

So my bid is legally binding, but your obligation to sell isn't?

Dunno, might be a perfectly nice bike. But not a "racing bike" with those fenders. And for $400? I think not! Are those cottered cranks?

Hey, I could be wrong.

Shame, because if it's at least a decent frame it looks small enough to fit me.

Used only twice and yet the bike is filthy, hoods look worn (or at least very grimy), bar tape is gone, the saddle has been replaced with something from wal-mart and a rack and fenders bolted on. Yep, looks like it rolled right off the showroom floor.

It is a neat little bike though...

In that time frame, he'll need to jump right to desperate sprints followed immediately with vomiting-into-the-shrubbery training. Finish with a crash course in clipping other riders' front tires and he's ready.

Miyata 215st
I'm not sure if he is a numbskull for trying to get $500 for the Miyata or that someone appraised it for $1500 and he didn't sell it to him.

poutine 03-30-08 08:07 PM

I'm curious... is the bike itself being nostalgic? Poor thing.

From the CL ad:

will climb the steepest hill with no struggle

I dunno, I struggle on hills. $500 seems cheap.

And the Richmond fixie scene continues unabated:

I gotta find a couple more frames and get building again! These prices are just too good to pass up.

That's true, especially with some of Cincinnati's steep hills. If it can go up Straight St., Mt. Hope or Ravine St without any struggle from me, it might be worth it.

No, you weren't. Nothing but a Jeunet clone with fancy paint and components of Raleigh Record fame; all wrapped up in a nice, neat, rusty $400 package.

<extremesarcasm>
Speaking of which, may I interest you in a collectable Jeunet? Only ridden twice since it was new...to me. A steal at $275...don't buy from those Craigslist sharks! Note the intricate, CLASSIC pinstriping and VINTAGE foil decals, along with the HUFFY in the background. :p
