I had the same problem with a Shogun 400 I set up with Shimano index DT shifters. I took a common as dirt Simplex band and re-threaded it to take the Shimano screws.
Top (most problems can be solved with C-4 or a machine shop) Top, you are a genius. I hit the lbs...we dug through boxes until we hit a Huret shifter band, then the hardware for a M5 Tap. I'm back in buisiness :D Thanks! |

I need a few 74xx series Dura Ace items.
8sp HG hubs 32h is perferable but 36h would be just as good. A whole wheelset would be nice. 8sp HG cassette Dura Ace Seat Post 27.2 Dura Ace 1in Headset. help me out please |
Need: a carbon saddle, a Brooks pro saddle, SunTour barcons (complete set, not just the shifters) some other stuff I cant think of right now
Have: complete Lemond Tourmalet Let me know, we can work something out :D |
WTB, (yes, I'm insane, I have come to accept that)
A Raleigh or other English gas pipe frame in 22" or 23" (56-58cm) Something like a Record or GP. The older the better, but anything will work as long as it's made in England. |
Wheelset: 700C; 36- or 40-spoke rear, 36 or 32-spoke front, decent quality alloy hubs and rims, true and undented. Wider rims (like touring width, for 28 or 32 mm tire) preferred. Can go either Uniglide/Hyperglide hub or English thread-on freewheel-type rear hub; 120 to 126 rear width, or convertible to that; don't need cassette/freewheel, but will take it if you need to get rid of it.

I posted this in its own thread before I saw the ISO/WTB stickiy. My bad. Here's the original post:
I became a committed roadie this season with an impulse purchase of a used '06 Trek 1000. Previously I had been doing mostly mtb, but rode my mtb on the road a lot, for fitness, when I couldn't get to the woods. My son and I just finished his John Deere Racer which some of you may remember from a while back (pic attached--but not very good quality). Well, now I've got my eye on my future--I really want to do some touring. Long distance and fully loaded is my goal. I know I will need a new bike, but I won't settle for anything but steel. I've looked at new steel bikes, but aside from Rivendells, they just don't cut it for me. A new Riv is out of the budget range right now, too. Besides I need a new project bike. I live in the hinterlands of Arkansas, so I don't anticipate running across a Miyata at a garage sale, yanno? So I'm turning to you fine folks. I'm 5'4". I want a lugged steel bike frame with the right kind of BB threading to accommodate modern parts. Or, if you have one built up that would fit me, I'd consider it. I don't care what color it is. In fact, I prefer it already painted. PM me, please, if you think you have something I could use. Thanks! Karen |
WANT:
700C chrome fork, threadless steerer. Can be any type - steerer preferably 250mm or longer. -Kurt |
Campy Super/Nuovo Record brake half caliper, just the cast aluminum part, the one that holds the quick-release and cable end (which I broke, stupidly, today). If someone has a broken caliper, and this part as a spare, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll end up buying a whole caliper, or even a set, on eBay.
Thanks, |
Now I have two broken Cyclone derailleurs. :( The clamp is broken on the front as I've mentioned earlier in this thread, and now the spring broke on the rear where the cage pivots at the derailleur body. If anyone has any of these parts or entire derailleurs, I'd like to buy them. Please let me know. Thanks.
P.S. They don't even have to be Cyclone derailleurs either, I'd love to have Superbe as well. |
Looking for a french thread bottom bracket for my UO-8-->fixie project. Anyone have an old one around?
|
A stretch, but...
WTB: Old school cycling shoes for clips and straps, size 44 (ish), good/decent condition. PM me. |

Nothing wrong with these that a permanent marker couldn't fix. :D

Campagnolo BB spindle, 114.5, 68-SS, BSC, in excellent or NOS condition. I'll finish this Trek 530 build someday...
|
WTB: Nice (Campy, Suzue, Dura Ace, Phil, etc..) rear track hub/hubs. High flange a plus.
(Would even trade for some Record freewheel hubs or laced to tubulars depending) Some nice clincher rims.White would be cool. Sturdy (Deep V's Aeroheads, Aero, Mavic, etc) |
Sorry to be repetitive, But I diddn't want anyone thinking that since I got the Super Course that I am off the trail.
I am still quite insane. WTB: A 70's vintage Raleigh Grand Prix or Record frameset in 58cm. My Super course needs a Brother.:D |
WTB: Left side crankarm for Suntour Superbe. 170mm. Might consider a complete crankset for the right price....like real cheap. :)
