Toying with the idea of a frame upgrade for my Barracuda Mk.I, frame is currently a 84 Centurion Sport DLX, Tange Infinity tubing and stamped dropouts, 60cm. I'd like to replace it with a frame with a Sport / Sport Touring style frame, closer to 57-58.5cm of Asian build (it'll initially get a Shimano 105 Golden Arrow group, perhaps changed out for a more touring minded setup later).

I've heard of upgrading components, but upgrading a frame is quite a novel concept. :D

I have a 57cm Miyata 210 - but that's probably heavier than what you're looking for.
|
I am looking for a Weinmann concave rim in 700C.
I would like a 40 hole but would take a 36 hole. |
ISO WTB:
Mavic 28h 500 series (501?) sealed bearing front hub. 28h grey anodized 700c clincher rim got the complete wheel? Even better. |
Looking for a set of black anodized hubs for my Cannondale Black Lightning. They don't need to be the original Sansin. Nos is prefered for a fresh wheel build. Not overly concerned with spoke count but would prefer 32F/36R. Anybody? I know it's a long shot.
|
WTB: Schwinn Super Sport frame and fork (or just frame), fillet brazed, 22 or 23". Any color, any condition (as long as it isn't completely rusted through).
|
I am an idiot!
WTB: Rear brake cable stop for an older raleigh with "arc'd rear brake bridge ". Mine fell off due to plain stupidity and I have very little chance of finding it.
Edit: Got one coming in the mail, Thanks! |
Want: Brooks b67, either black or honey is ok. Decent or better condition.
|
I'm currently looking for a frameset! So far, all I've really narrowed it down to is anything Asian or produced in Asia (Miyata? Shogun? Nishiki? Weren't mid-range Bianchis Japanese-made?), 48-50cm, and lugged, with better-than-hi-ten tubing. Bonus points for good condition- nice chrome, paint, etc. I will be toying with an early-90s Campy group on it, possibly, depending on how a deal I have locally works out. If you have anything (or know anyone with anything and could help pack/ship!) along these lines I would really like to hear from you.
EDIT: Oh, also, I'm looking for a traditional-geometry bike, so no mixtes. No offense to the mixte-lovers, it just doesn't do it for me. :P |

two old Raleigh frames. One is not enough. Yellow Jersey claims to have replacements. I got two for a price. They are shorter and slightly narrower then the originals. I also got a pointer to someone in the UK that is supposed to have a line of old NOS parts. He was slow to respond so I didn't followed through and never found if he actually has these. |

In addition to the Weinmann concave 700C rim I am also looking for some type of period appropriate brake levers for the 81' Peugeot PX something. I would guess Weinmann or Mafac would be suitable.
|
Searching again. sigh. ISO a Mafac Competition (like racers) adjuster part. It's not the part that touches the cable housing. It looks to be a fixed double ended insert that screws into the lever body. The cable adjuster then screws onto this piece and holds the housing straight(and adjusts the brakes of course). Looks like a hollow threaded tube with a nut in the middle. I could post a pic, but I am afraid to rip my hoods which are nearly immaculate. Can anyone help?,,,,BD

Want:
Sugino VP driveside crankarm, 170mm. I'm unsure of the BCD, I think it's 120 -- weren't all Sugino cranks from the mid-80s (post pantographing) 120 BCD? |
Want:
Seven spd. 13-32 or 13-34 freewheel in good condition, not megarange, at a reasonable price. 13,15,17,20,24 28,32 would be great as would 13, 15, 17, 20, 24, 28, 34. |
Want:
campagnolo long horizontal dropouts. a set, or only the right. good condition. |

I'm thinking it would be 130mm
|
ISO/WTB:
62cm or above, (ideally 63 or 64cm) lugged track frame and forks. I have been searching for a looonnngg time...please someone tell me they have something! |
ISO/WTB: Early 80's SunTour Superbe brake lever hoods. Color not important, condition in good or better please. Will even take any that are a very good match. The Weinnman's that I have aren't quite as close to a fit as I'd prefer.

want: cantilever brakes!

Wanted for a mid-70's British "club racer" build. Let me know if I am missing anything!
-SA 3 or 4 speed hub (first choice is 4-speed). Laced to an alloy wheel would be a plus, as would it being set up for 125 mm spacing. Dyno hub ok. -Front dyno hub in working order. Laced to an alloy wheel is a plus. -25.0 mm seat post (non-butted 531 frame) -Leather saddle -Appropriate single ring crankset to use with the SA Hub. 167mm bottom bracket shell. -Source for white fenders Also, the brakes on my 20" wheeled Chiorda folding bike are broken/flimsy. I'd be interested in some Raleigh 20 brake calipers if anyone has them. They should fit mine probably, yes? All parts will be well loved, I promise! Let me know what you have, and I'll see if it fits my budget :) |
