I'm looking for a dustcap (or a pair of them) for a Campy C Record front hub. At least, I think it's C Record, but I'll attach a pic of what I have so there's no doubt. One of the caps (on Right) seems to have a groove cut into the outer bevel, but it could be just a bit of sloppy machining, or a variant. In any case, that's the orphan cap I'm looking to match so it would be ideal to find another with that groove...I'm not going to be picky about it. I will be happy to trade something of equal value, so feel free to PM me with a list of trade-ables, if you want.
Thanks, Alan |
Dia Compe Side Pull Brake Part
1 Attachment(s)
Hello.
In an overzealous attempt to clean everything, I broke a part on one of my brakes. It's a Dia Compe side pull N500, similar to the one pictured. I was attempting to disassemble the brake's quick release when I sheared off the screw - with nut still attached - on the back of the cylinder that the red arrow is pointing to. The way things fit together, I'm not positive that nut is even meant to turn, but damage done. Does anyone out there have a replacement (ie, sitting in your junk box) for this cylinder? Or does anyone know of a place to obtain one without buying a whole new brake? Thanks. I can send more pictures of the actual part if need be, or give you diameters if you think they vary widely between models, but mostly just looking to get back on the road. |
Need a black carbolite Peugeot fork, with approximately 8 1/4 inch steer tube. For a 25 inch bike. If you have a nicer (chrome?) fork with the same measurement, even better. 27" wheels of course. Lemme know.,,,,BD

OK, if anyone has a nice Zeus non-drive crank arm in 172.5 (the one that looks like Campy NR, fluted, the word "Zeus" in a circle) that they are not in need of, I am! Apparently Bicycle Classics has some of these, but only in 170 :(

I need a Campy N.R. 144 BCD chainring that is 46, 47, or 48 tooth. I can trade a 144 BCD N.R. 42, 44, or 52 tooth, or a 42 tooth S.R. (144 BCD), or a 151 BCD 55 tooth Record road chainring. All are used but still have many miles left. The S.R. 42 tooth ring is in nearly perfect condition.

Looking for:
Patterns for seat bags, panniers, tool bags/rolls Maybe you bought them and didn't use them or you bought them, made your bag, and don't need them anymore. New Dharma |
looking for a 22-tooth SA cog for my new grocerygetter. of course I can order one from Harris but if anyone has one around I'd like to take it.

Need a single Dia Compe 188 reverse brake lever (silver) (pair is o.k. too).
Want front and rear Dia Compe 510 center pull brake calipers. |
Looking for a beater Campy crankset ... I have a beater Peugeot PKN-10 frame for which I've accidentally assembled Campy brakes, levers, derailleurs, shifters, and a full wheelset, all of it pretty much ... well, weathered might be a good word for it. That NR crankset hiding in the bottom of the parts box that you pulled off of your 70's road bike after you laid it down at speed (but which is still straight with good threads and tapers) is just what I need!
|
want a campagnolo sport or record/super record pista headset crown race and top race for. I have the cups... I know it's on ebay but damn are the pieces expensive. Banana Brain charges a premium.

WTB: Upper, threaded, Campagnolo NR headset bearing race and locknut, English threading.

So now that the lady has seen my cycling fanaticism, she wants to ditch her 45lb AL hybrid monster and get something proper. Since I'd rather line the pockets of c&v members than eBay powerseller #8312581, I'm turning to you guys. I'm not lookin to spend a million bucks, but I'd like some semi decent components for her and not just random mismatched/rusty stuff I pull off of trash bikes. All in I'd probably like to spend $250 or so, although I'm flexible. I'm hoping people did conversions and kept some of the old parts.
She's 5'10 with long legs and a short torso, she had maybe an inch of standover on my 55cm. I'm thinking a 54/55 for her with a raised seat and a long but short-reach stem. So far I need: Frame. Steel, gaspipe tubing is fine, although I'd rather not give her a 50lb. Varsity. English threading, please. She really really wants one that's turquoise, but if it's not gonna happen I can get it powdercoated for her birthday. Hopefully I can get one with a headset too. BB. UN52 or any other decent sealed one. Brakes. Shimano 105 or something would be good, I'd like to use sidepulls. I do have a 105 sidepull rear brake, probably 1990-ish vintage, if someone's got a matching front from when they took it off their fixed conversion and never looked back, that works too. Brake levers, standard ones for road drops Derailleurs (whatever those are) - as long as it isn't the ****ty plastic Simplex ones that I ****in destroyed on my first roadie, whatever is fine. Shift levers depending on frame, I'll work it out later Cranks/chainring. Standard road double is good. Wheels - 700c alloy, if it's got a 6/7 speed freewheel on the back that isn't too beat up, even better. Bars - Basic road drops are fine. Stem - Quill stem, not too long reach, some SR one is fine. Tryin to avoid buying individual bits on ebay and shipping them separately, that's gonna push me way over budget. |
WTB: Vintage (70s/80s?) Mavic clincher rims, prefer black/dark anodized, 32H, 700c. Just can't do this tubular thing...
