Matrix Rim

Checked the rim. Unfortunately it is a Matrix ISO - C, not C-II (guess you could call it a C-1?), NOS. I remember now why I have it. I had a C - II and got this one off ebay, thinking it was same, but not quite, as a match (same as you are doing?) I luckily then found a NOS C-II soon after, so got that, then built them up for my daughters bike. In any case, the difference between the "C" and "C-II" Matrix rims is very slight, probably not discernible at a distance of several feet (looking at the profile of the rim), but the decals are different. Matrix ISO C rims have almost black decals, with no red. The C-II, as I recall, have some red in the decals. Other than that, the profile of the rim is quite similar, I suppose the C-II have a slightly sharper "V" than the plain C. Let me know if you are interested or need more info. I could take a pic. ew

Schwinn Paramount: $350 + sundries
Campagnolo NR shifters: $40
Wiring up the front derailer cable only to find the mounting (not the bolt) was stripped by some gorilla of a mechanic: Priceless.

That said - I'm looking for a clamp-on pre-CSPC NR FD (no holes, globe logo).

EDIT: Cannibalized the NR FD off my Trek 610, took care of the problem. Had a spare SR FD for the 610.

I'm in need of some Campy odds 'n ends, mostly C-Rec stuff.

Record Delta Replacement Parts:
3mm E-clips
5 or 6mm flange nut that holds the guts to the caliper body (pictured here)
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3233/...5dd3c7.jpg?v=0

I also need hex-head toeclip bolts for a Record C-180 pedal, and the rear 4-bolt plate (also pictured)

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3117/...6a6d6e.jpg?v=0

I have no idea where to even start looking for these things. Does anyone know of a good source?

I found Allen screws that fit my Shimano 600 pedals at Ace Hardware. The thread pitch isn't exact but they work and don't get bound up.

Indeed I have, but I'm not sure where to source the replacement rivet that holds it to the cage.

P.S.: I realized that I had an identical piece on my Trek 610, so I ended up cannibalizing the 610 for that FD. I put an SR in its place which seems to "fit."

Bike

Hello, I am a 22 yo recent college graduate. I am looking for a CUTE vintage bike that will get me to the metro and around the streets of DC. I want something kind of unique, CURVY, feminine, in pink, purple or blue. I really like the Stingrays but they are too small (I'm 5'2 and wear heels often). I found the perfect bike yesterday on Craigslist, a pink Miyata Session, but was 20 minutes too late to being the first to write. I would love a bike that is basket, bell, rack and/or light compatable. Please help!

They're stainless, metric, button top, 2.5mm Allen screws. For my pedals the M4 (width) / .70 (pitch) / 8 (length) screws fit best. I also put a washer between the screw and the clip since I don't have the cleat either. No problems so far.

Those I've seen - water bottle cage bolts work too, but what I'm talking about are aluminum with a polished convex hex cap (not an allen head, sorry for the confusion). I'll look for some in the measurements you specified, though.

There is also a chain called Fastenal which has about any kind of screw, allen head, set screw, etc you can think of. If there's no Fastenal near you, contact a machine shop and ask where they get their specialty bolts. Often the "counter guy" or gal can look at your object and get exactly what you want.

ISO - campagnolo n.record shifter clamp band. Have (at least) one set of levers and washers and such, need the band what ever else to put on a bike w/o brazed on bosses.

There were just some Delta brakes on eBay for parts.

Good luck, Jon. I asked around for this part for months - even said I'd consider the whole assembly. Nothing. Ended up spending $40 (that's with shipping) to get one off of eBay. Two years ago, you could get one for $20 shipped or less

P.S.: I do have a so-so condition band with levers and hardware from a '61 Record group.

I'm looking for a Raleigh bronze green chain guard with the two tabs corresponding to the tabs on the down and seat tubes. This is for a 1967 Raleigh Sprite SA 5-speed. Any condition will do.

Thanks,

Neal

Neal, I have a Sports guard, I believe. Pretty tattered though. I'll check the supply provided Ike doesn't spoil the plans.

Thanks for checking, Kurt, and best of luck battening down for Ike.

I need a brake lever for an early Schwinn 3-speed, with mounting hardware. My lever is fine, but the mounting screw/nut are stripped. Willing to paypal or trade. PM me for most reliable communication.

I have a Campy record front derailleur that has the chrome coming off the cage. Is it possible to find a replacement cage?

I thought I had a DT shifter bracket, but apparently I am using it on my touring bike. If I find a replacement, I'll contact whoever it was up-thread that needed that.

I found 2 campy brake cable clamps, still looking for the 3rd.
