ISO looking for a decent set of braze-on shifters friction/index from members who really want to get rid of their stuff.
|
Very stupid question that I've been wondering for a while now: What does ISO stand for?

-Kurt Kidding of course... :D |
I'm looking for a rear fender for a 1960 Schwinn Racer (Or Schwinn Traveler), or a year that is close. Preferably 1960 though.

I have a friend who would like to reclaim his stolen youth (bicycle that is)....
Looking for a 1987 Nishiki Olympic 12 - red and white fade paint. Forks and head were red, fading to white about 1/3 of way along top and down tubes, then faded back to red about 1/2 way along stays. It came with a Tange Infinity frame, indexed Shimano Light Action derallieur, Sugino VP crankset, Shimano SLR brakest and Sanshin hubs laced to Araya SS-45 rims. (Thanks for that info T-Mar) Looking for something around 54-56cm in very good to excellent condition. Any leads appreciated. |
Looking for a brown (dark, not honey) Brooks Swift or possibly team pro. PM me.

8 speed Shimano DT shifters? Anyone?,,,,BD

older brake caliper
i'm looking for a front brake caliper that uses the older nut style of connection to the fork, rather than the newer recessed mounting technique.
i'd prefer something dual-pivot, so i don't run into the crappy side-pull problems that are making me replace the current brake. i don't have a ton to spend, but i need the brake, so i'll have to spend more than i want to probably. thanks in advance. |
WTB 110 BCD 34 or 36T Chain ring, SR or Sugino, not too picky. I just want to try out some different gearing. Thanks

I don't think there is a dual pivot, nutted brake made. You might be able to convert one.
Another thought for the OP: not all single-pivot sidepulls are created equal. If you have a lower-end set, you may be happy with a slightly more upscale model. |
WTB:
* Wrights W3N saddle or Brooks B17N, or other good quality saddle in narrow width * Hoods to fit non-aero SunTour Superbe levers (any brand in any color but white) * High flange euro hubs (for freewheels) in any spacing * Super Champion rims * MAFAC brake hardware (all the little bits other than the calipers and levers) Cheers, Karl |

I just drilled out my frame a little so that the recessed nut would fit inside.

Center-pulls rock. :) They're also dirt cheap.

I'm looking for some cheap cable guides for my top tube. I think I'm using the right terminology. The little band that wraps around the top tube to guide the housing to the back brake, in the absence of braze ons? Anything that looks ok and isn't rusty.
Also, will metal bands trash my paint job? Thanks! |
