Are these are pretty enough? :)

Needed ASAP: Nuovo Record front derailleur. Not really important what year. Going on an 78 ish frame so pre or post CSPC is fine! PM me, thanks!

For my retro roadie trek build, I need some shimano brifters, 44cm black bars, black quill stem with some height to it, black(or carbon) 27.2 seatpoat, black tripple cranks of the 175mm variety, tripple front and long reach rear d's, down tube cable stops... I'm trying to build this on the cheap so any help would be great! I also have most of the stock group from the 86 trek 400d for trade!

For 44cm black bars, you may end up with a Cinelli Eubios or equivalent, since they tend to go pretty cheap. In which case you'd need a 26.0 stem, and they are harder to find. Those that are out there are long, not high. I bought a 3T just for my 26.0 bar, but it was too long and still not high enough, so I ended up using a fork from a larger frame and spacers, and kept my black Cinelli stem.

A good CF black seatpost cheap is the Ascent, available several places, like WhyMor. Black DT cable stops are also availabe aftermarket, they are plastic and not as good as the Shimano's out there in grey, but they're out there.

The hardest to match up is the bar/stem, so start there. The other stuff is available. A black triple, I'd say Truvative. A cheap black double is the Octalink Shimano 105 available in several places, along with black Shimano 105 calipers, also available in several places.

Good luck on the Shimanos STI's. My LBS gets Sora's for me for $109, but the Modolo Morphos are about $110-120 on sale a lot at Performance or Nashbar. They are black and compatible with everything but 10 speed.
However, the Sora's come with cables and housings, in black.

Other tanks for Schwinn 26" phantom type cruiser?

I saw a Shelby Airflow 52 tank just end without a bid and could not go for $75 yet but I really liked that tank, if indeed it fits well enough to work with.

ISO Schwinn-compatible tanks and more info.

PM me please.

ISO/WTB: Campagnolo seat binder bolt

ISO/WTB: Campagnolo seat binder bolt, this is the type that is NOT keyed, but rather has splines on one side. I've seen it online at Performance Bicycle for $7.99, but its kind of silly to pay $11.50 for shipping.

Fishing for ;):

-Red, post-'76 Raleigh Super Course, 23", either frameset or partially complete. Must have forged rear dropouts, good to VG condition.
-Red Bluemels Popular fenders - preferably once I've found said frameset.

Looking to do the following:

NOW I find out....

WTB: swept bars like Northroad or Soma swallow, but used and cleanable, if that's a word.

Still looking for...

English BB, square taper 110mm spindle (the kind for shimano/sugino, not campy)
Brown leather straps for my pedals.

mpthomps 06-08-08 09:35 PM

Looking for a vintage 52-54cm frame with Campy components. Columbus tubing + but not necessary. Let me know what you have within a REASONABLE price. (College student looking for a great vintage bike)

birdt8608 06-09-08 11:51 AM

I just want to see if I can get the below mentioned Panasonic (DX-2000) back on the road for as little as possible. Let me know if you can help me out. Thanks!

ISO/WTB:

*Cinelli XA handlebar binder bolt
*Aero brake levers w/white hoods - or white hoods + white levers

cmdr 06-09-08 07:45 PM

ISO a chrome 700c replacement for a 54-55cm frame. In a perfect world it would be Columbus steel; un-pantographed, non-uni-crown, with Campy (or other forged) drop-outs, (and free=)). I will settle for something that at least hits two of those categories.
Thanks.

I need a BB spindle that will work to convert my Nottingham Grand Prix to cotterless cranks.

I'm not 100% sure exactly but gathered this from sheldon's page:

Japanese Spindle

If the digit is "5" the spindle is made for in Italian-sized 70 mm shell, and may work in your Raleigh if it has a 71 mm shell

or

If the digit is "7" the spindle is made for an "oversized" 73 mm mountain bike bottom bracket. These will generally work in most Raleigh BBs

Any leads/tips appreciated!

ISO/WTB

Hello all,
I'm looking for brake lever hoods for Dura Ace brake levers, model BL-7401. I could also consider both the brake levers and the hoods if that's hom you wish to sell it. I would also consider levers and hoods of the model BL-7402, but my first choice would be the 7401. The condition does not have to be show room fresh.

Sorry but I'm new here and don't have all the little qurks figured out in regards to posting a pic and such. I'll give it a shot. You can also find a big pic here, http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3099/...d6c2c02e_o.jpg

Thanks, Allan

carlotta 06-15-08 06:46 PM

WTB: Shimano600 brake levers/hoods (and the brakes, if you've got 'em). Optimally they'd be the darker grey finished levers BL-6400/brakes BR-6400 but if the equivalent exists in silver finish and you've got 'em, that might work too.

Scratched up/well loved is fine, I'm just trying to move the other drivetrain bits to a different frame and would rather not remove the brakes/levers/bar tape/cables from their existing home on the old frame in order to keep the matching group on the new frame.

Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure either, but if you do a full text search on ebay for 7NL, there have been some complete bottom brackets with that spindle turning up. Might do the trick.

The oversized MTB spindles work for Raleigh 3 speeds. Your GP should take a standard 68mm spindle. What crankset are you planning to use?
