Some changes to my lotus eclair. Crank is getting upgraded to a sugino px as soon as I get a granny ring.

Holiday - how are you doing with the anatomica? I tried one and it rode right up where you don't want it.

Thats a rivet. Not as wide as the anatomica. I sat on both at nahbs and this one won for me. I don't have many miles on it yet but out of the box it feels as good as a b17 for me. More updates to come on that as I get more miles.

This one probably fits into the "sport touring" category. It is my '81 Fuji S-12-S with a few changes since I lasted posted it on B.F.
It now has a "new to me" 40-year-old leather saddle, new Blackburn pump that matches the frame colors perfectly, and new L.G. bags. The bar-end mirror comes in handy in traffic. I put about 40 "easy" miles on it today. This stream reminded me it was time to stop for a drink of water. Really nice riding bike.

That Lotus is a gorgeous machine.
Did a few more tweaks to my Cascade this week... found some NOS Avocet Cross tyres in 26 by 1.25 and installed those.
This is a very stiff bike and the Avocets really smooth out the ride when the bike is unloaded (tyres at 80 psi) and they make a happy little hum as they roll along which does not seem to impact how fast these tyres roll.
I am really looking forward to getting out on some mini tours this season... will use the Cascade and my P20 folder depending on the mission.

I just finished reworking my 1990 Cannondale ST400. I had an extra set of 7 spd STI levers so decided to build it like the more recent C'dale tourers instead of my usual bar end preference. After riding nothing but vintage steel touring bikes I've become quite fond of this one for the lighter feel and response.

You should explain to me (perhaps in pictures) how the hell you managed to fit those fenders on there. Perhaps I'm just running the wrong tires (1 1/4" Paselas), but I have absolutely no clearance for them -- especially in the back.
I've also been very happy upgrading my canti's...even with Kool Stop pads I couldn't get those old DiaCompe's adjusted to a point where I was confident on downhills with loads. Otherwise, I'm in love with the bike, just wish I had a 60cm instead of 58.

Jmeb - I can tell you that it wasn't easy getting those fenders on. They are VO hammered. I had more trouble doing the front because there is a bolt that comes down from the fork crown which I had to grind down in order to run without a rub. I have often thought about converting to 700c's just so that I have some more clearance because even when there is no fender rub I am gripped by paranoia that there is! That said though, the full coverage fenders are so worth it. As BSNYC says in his PSA "Fenders - because it might be pee".

Bought this today: a Gijs van Tuyl 'Racing Feather' touring bike. The only one I've ever seen. I've seen Racing Feathers before, but they were all .. uh .. racing bikes. I don't know who built this frame. Most of the racing Racing feathers are built by Andrea Pesenti, as far as I know, but this looks different.
