Why is it that LBS guys so often are demeaning and smug towards their own livelihood? When are they going to realize that the only way to keep them coming back is with exceptional customer service, because anyone can get online and buy parts for a good bit less money than from the LBS? Friggin' bike snobs... supposed to be a "brotherhood" or "family" or whatever...
But you all know that already. Sorry.

Try Taylors Bike Shop in Taylorsville or Bountiful Cycle in Bountiful. Just the opposite of the nasty ones mentioned here. Accommodating, friendly, reasonably priced, well stocked. No interest, just a satisfied customer.

I buy my LBS stuff from a shop in Poway, and they have always treated me fairly. I don't buy much, usually spokes and tires. There is one employee there who I have given the link to this board to. He knows all about my Paramounts but I have yet to bring one in the shop.
I tend just ask for the specific item I need and not distract them with other stuff. One other large LBS has been rude to me and referred to me as "the old Campy guy", though not in a particularly friendly manner.
I also go to a couple of other small shops that are C & V friendly. I like those stores!

Yeah, I know there are definitely good shops out there. Heck, I work at one on weekends in the summer for fun. I was just frustrated I think, because I've also had my share of the stuck up ones. Venting a little I suppose.
But the head mechanic at the shop I work at is a really really nice guy, an older racer who loves it when I bring in the Gitane to monkey on it. So it's not all bad. I could use a little temperance now and then, eh?

OP titles the thread Beware Jensen USA?? And his gripe is they sent his items to wrong address? And he can't receive items at his billing address of his credit card??? Yet he refuses shipment (and how can you refuse a shipment and return to sender when you can't receive the item at that address - I still can't figure that one out)??? And Jensen won't refund his Express shipping??
Man, I thought they did something really bad to deserve such a title to the thread - and that's all there is???
And only the one instance???
Man- keep yout pitiful little tussles with vendors to yourself - that ain't enough of an issue to say in the title BEWARE JENSEN USA.

This thread needs resurrecting. Jenson SUCKS!
I've fallen for their good prices in the past, (Dura Ace C24's that took over a month to ship, before I finally cancelled the order) but my recent experience has only reinforced the profundity of their suckitude.
I ordered two bottom brackets immediately after May 1 payday; only recently did they ship it.
Every time I called: "Oh, we just got a large order in, your bottom brackets are definitely in there. They're shipping today... tomorrow at the latest."
Two weeks later. "Uhh, you spoke to Scott? We don't have any Scott here."
Two weeks later. The charge for both shipments comes out of my account, so I assume the bottom brackets have finally shipped.
Two weeks later. Still no bottom brackets.
Seriously, double-F-word Jenson. These are only two of my very negative experiences with this garbage company. Garbage!
