Panasonic owners? Roll call!

The Drive Side is Within
I did ride across Ireland a few times with tent, bag, food, stove on a POS gaspipe 10 speed bought at a flea market in Belfast. Hadn't ridden much in years, and had just given up smoking. In cotton shorts and a T shirt. I got my hardy lad points there in 1998.

Really nice Team Japan above. Just came across this 1989 Panasonic MC-3500 MTB. Double butted Tange Infinity tubing, U brake, and mainly 7 speed Suntour XCM components.
It will be moved to a new home, as I have plenty of MTBs already....
I have several keeper Panasonics right now, all are Schwinns: two Prologues, a Paramount Series 5, and a 1973 World Voyageur.

1987 dx2000......
I picked this up on CL here on LI this summer for the asking price of $100. It was the original owner selling it, and he even gave me the Panasonic Catalog for this year with the dealers prices for each model marked in pen. With the exception of tires, it's all original. Not a mark on it, and he told me that its been sitting in his nice dry basement unridden for the last 15 years.
People were calling to come see it, he told me, but never showed up. So, $100 in hand, away it went!

89' dx-1000
I changed the handlebars and brakes. New BB and Headset as well. I have more in it than it's worth but to me it's priceless.

Fantastic Ti and PR-6000! Would love to feature them on the museum site if you are willing.

1986 Panasonic Team Japan
I guess I forgot to update this thread with my 1986 Team Japan. (Among others)
Columbus tubes and Suntour Superbe Pro components finished off with Araya Aero tubulars.

Also.... I feel fortunate to have found a nice example of an '84 DX-4000. I've been hunting for one for more than three years and have seen only two for sale during that time and neither were in good condition. This one is still all original down the the bar tape and saddle.
Will post more photos once it arrives and I've had the chance to properly overhaul it.

My newly aquired 1985 Purple Team Europe II with Columbus tubing, Campy Victory group, and Tubulars (rear flat). Needs a good cleaning to remove the grape dust. Unfortunately, it's to small at 21.5" ctc (will entertain trades for a 59cm). I was contemplating using the Victory group on another build, however it's all original and can't bring myself to do it. Still has the reflectors (do I remove???). I was really hoping it was my size.

So many beautiful Panasonics! Here is my humble 1988 Sports-500. It has a special place in my heart because it was my first "adult" bike.

Congrats on the TE2 score! I tried to buy it right away since I've always wanted one for my collection but you beat me to it. ;-)
I'd definitely keep it together as it is nice and stock.

I realized I've been slacking on updating my own thread with my own purchases so here are a few more...
1984 DX-4000 with Shimano 600EX. A sweet find but wound up selling it to another local rider since I didn't really fit me comfortably.
1987 MC-6500 with Suntour XC Sport. Given to my father as a father's day gift this year.
1989 PICS Team MC 800 Custom with Shimano Deore - Also now in the hands of a very enthusiastic local rider/friend

Btw, I guess as of today, I'm also a Panasonic owner: at the opposite end of the price spectrum, I just snagged a 1994 'City Bike' off of CL for a mere $25. It'll be my restoration project over the next several months.
Aside from it's 47cm chainstays, the other intriguing aspect of the frame is a 60mm BB drop; pretty deep for a 26" bike, and just perfect for a 650b conversion.

Drooool. That's an ORC-14, right?

Indeed it is an '84. Typo on my part.
I'll post a few pics when I begin restoring it; right now it's stripped of parts, but the frame is in surprisingly good shape.
I should've noticed that PR-6000 is kitted out in DA-7400; ergo not likely to be an ORC-14 despite the similar paint job. (Doh!)
